A tip, you might investigate Scott Slone, there's information going on around here in Anchorage that Scott and Sarah have had relations. The show opportunity was a promised exchange from what I've heard. No podcast like Alaska Podshow just gets to do a show with the governor.

Palin doesn't think that God's work should be to help the poor in Christian organizations on the south side of Chicago. She thinks God's work is in building an oil pipeline across Alaska.

Has anyone looked into what the age difference is between Bristol Palin at the time of impregnation and the supposed father? If Governor Palin stands for law and order shouldn't she be seeking charges against him for statutory rape or contributing to the delinquency of a minor?

Poor Sarah,

Daughter age 17 and 5 months pregnant, no wonder she was holding Trig with a giant baby blanket during her mothers announcement. Did she think we wouldn't notice that her teen was sporting a baby bump. And of course the mother of the years answer to the "problem", get those kids to a preacher of course. How great, another set of uneducated poor parents. Super. My question is when is Sarah going to pop out another one, because obviously this family believes in abstinence only birth control, problem is everyone seems not to know what that means. STAY IN SCHOOL, and work on your vocab kids.

Sarah Palin gave birth to a baby with Down's Syndrome at the age of 44.

Is anyone else appalled at this?

The risk of giving birth to a baby with Down's Syndrome is extremely high in women over 40 (and even higher when the father is also over 40).

Sarah Palin "opposes the use of birth control pills and condoms even among married couples".

I am disgusted by this irresponsible behaviour. To give birth at age 44 to a baby with Down's because you refuse to use birth control inexcusable. Ignoring the dangers that you expose yourself and your baby to by refusing to use birth control after 40 is negligent and careless. To believe that a woman like this has the opportunity to become Vice President of the United States of America in 2008 makes me ill.

Does anyone else share this opinion?

I am more than adept at my job - that's why I can see you are abusing your position here to further your political agenda.

My political leanings are clear - and I keep them where they belong. They are not 'Left' either - I am more of a social anarchist than anything.

I publish a lot of ideas from both sides of the aisle at www.freepressgroup.eu - from a pool of 350 academics, journalists, bloggers and adept writers. So I am - in fact - in a very good position to judge your lame attempts at political analysis... which are nothing more than exercises in partisan propaganda.

Totally agree! Glad she stuck w/ the glasses cuz it makes her look hotter! She even looks hotter in the t-shirt and jeans she was wearing when she visited the troops in Iraq! I'll eat a mooseburger with her anyday! Go Palin! I mean uh, McCain and Palin!

Wow! I read the linked article on possible covering up of the oldest daughter's pregnancy....

What is interesting is the lengths that "good" Christian families will go to to protect the reputation of the family in these cases. The people with means are able to handle such pregnancies one way or another.

Nothing a reporter likes better than someone who comes off as holier than thou. With the national spotlight on her.... kick back and watch the stuff roll in.

As a stay at home mother and supporter of Hillary Clinton. I am shocked at how everyone thinks this woman is an amazing mother just because she chose not to terminate a pregnancy. Most of us know that real mothering begins after you give birth. Passing your special needs child off to someone else to take care of seems selfish at best. Is her husband quiting his job so someone can finish raising those kids. Just a thought.

So, if that's what you conclude -- what becomes of his "Country First" slogan? Don't you have to conclude that he's put the country at risk to achieve his personal ambitions? Here's what one friend and former colleague, a woman and a longtime admirer of McCain, e-mailed today:

"I take back anything positive i ever said about john mccain....he put an unqualified, inexperienced light-weight a heart beat away from the presidency. reckless, unconscionable and utterly unforgivable. i'm done with him forever....he put politics ahead of the welfare of the country. i expect that of bush, not john mccain. i feel completely betrayed."
