    As I'm sure you mentioned in your Zotero article, it too can be used for note-taking. As can diigo. Though they aren't exactly made for the purpose.

    Zotero works quite well with html pages, as you can highlight and add notes to your cached copy. Same idea with diigo, but sans the bibliography l33tness

    Just for note taking I find FF Notebook the best. It stores everything locally, so you are not F***** when you Internet connection goes down.

    I saw a similar list to this the other day as well, and it left out what I consider to be a great note-taking concept, bookmarking systems. Delicious, in combination with Evernote (my process) is a wonderful way to keep everything together. I use those two together, then link events and tasks together in my Palm (you can use google calendar and remember the milk in the same way) to bring them back up to remind yourself.

    Cheers

    Stikkit, Fleck, notesphere (great but unfortunately allows private - not sharable - notes only) and cl1p.net are other great annotation online tools but nothing beats Zoho Notebook.

    What, no mention of OneNote?

    @Dane
    lol I knew someone would bring up Microsoft's OneNote. Personally, I like it a lot but I keep hoping it will become more web friendly like Zoho and Google notebooks. Here's a free online test drive. It's a unique product that's for sure.

    How is it ironic? What is unexpected about it? I'd say it makes sense that there are sites out there if that is what the internet originally was.... learn vocabulary
