If that is the case, it makes sense to do so incrementally, rather than in one painful push.
I certainly look forward to a proper commenting system on Blah, put it that way...
Can I use video video comments with your plugin? As you can see, I like video comments. ;-)
Anyway, it's my pleasure stopping by - gotta read the comments, it's what IntenseDebate is all about! When you get a chance please check out IntenseDebate comments and give it a try. We've got a good thread going on our blog right now under our latest post (http://intensedebate.com/blog). Let me know what you think and how we can improve it (support@intensedebate.com).
I'm with you about the comments here...of course I'm biased but I'd love to see mashable using IntenseDebate.
How are you?
Our take on it

I just checked out the blog post you linked to. The comment form looks like a typical comment form. I didn't see room for video comments (which I've become hooked on, as you can see). I didn't see threaded comments.
We leave the comment management to the blog and other social media platforms. We provide ratings, reputation and universal profile service..That being said, we do provide an out of the box threaded comment template. Take a look at CrunchGear that keeps you comments in your own repository and avoids any SEO implications.
Thanks,
Jitendra
