Bridging the gap? Don't let em tell you it's anything else...it's all about the "TweEgo" http://bit.ly/2IxQUG

Andy, posts like the "Twego" one only serve to perpetuate separation and hamper social media as a tool for getting things done and effecting change.

Ralph, I would use Myspace, FaceBook or whatever other tool my target demographic preferred to reach them and tap into their offline network to get things done, yes.

    Thanks, Sean :)

It's interesting that you should write this article. I've always found many of the social networking sites to be too "virtual" and not grounded in the real world. Sites like ning.com and TabUp.com allow real world groups to communicate between those face to face meetings. Yes, the social networking sites have there place, but lack the collaboration tools necessary to strengthen and help hold groups together. Would you use Faceback or My Space to support a "Book Club" or "Keep the Beach Clean Effort"? I recently tried out TabUp and the ability to create multiple Tabs (interest) fits with your concept of supporting other groups members by supporting their interests or groups.
