This looks absolutely incredible...can't wait to see what they do with other cities. One step closer to having a Google Satellite at our beck and call :).

Wow....Google Earth always amazes me. My daughter has a present under the tree that is a puzzle that a friend ordered that is a satalite photo of our neighborhood with our house in the center. Can't wait for Xmas to help build that puzzle.
Fortunately my 11 year old does not read Mashable.com or this post would ruin her surprise gift.

Why not just use local.live.com and their "bird's eye view" feature. They are real photos.

They came out with something similar about a year ago for Disney World in Orlando, FL. It's seriously awesome.

There is actually a flight simulator in Google earth if you want to buzz around New York. Ctrl + Alt + A (Command/Open Apple Key + Option + A on the Mac)
