I knew about Lmail but never used it. Postful seems to make it is to get started. Automation of outgoing messages has made our business more efficient, we already handle all incoming and outgoing faxes via e-mail and have been looking for a way to handle paper mailings via email as well. This may just be the answer we have been looking for... We shall see.

Re: Postful Sends Snail Mail from Email

GREAT NEW CONCEPT

Re: Postful Sends Snail Mail from Email

Thanks for the great information!

Re: Postful Sends Snail Mail from Email

I think that this would end up being a good site. It is a good way of slowing people dawn and to get them thinking about what they wright. I go on my email nearly every two days but i really need to for my workk

Thanks
florrie

Re: Postful Sends Snail Mail from Email

cgfh

Re: Postful Sends Snail Mail from Email

There are plenty of uses I can see for a service like this. It's essentially a way you can automatic paper mailings. There are times you when you have physical addresses and not email addresses and printing/addressing/stuffing is more manual labor than you want to do yourself.

I just stumbled upon a similar service here:
http://www.l-mail.com

Re: Postful Sends Snail Mail from Email

I appreciate the post!

I don't expect that Postful will push back e-mail or even slow its advance. But I still have friends and family members who don't use e-mail (or computers). I think of this as a way to connect people into our modern communication networks using a format they are comfortable with.

In terms of features, we send more than just the text of the message. If you include photos, those are printed with the letters. You can send html e-mail for formatting. More options are coming as we work through the beta.

For Al Gore, I'd like to think of this as carbon sequestration, one letter at a time...

Thanks to everyone for the comments (positive and negative).

Re: Postful Sends Snail Mail from Email

http://mail.google.com/mail...
I saw Google did this too...

Is it a trick from Apple Fools' Day?

Re: Postful Sends Snail Mail from Email

This is a service that would be very helpful for me and my wife, as we live overseas. Being able to use this would cut down on costs and time it would take to send letters to our non-wired relatives back in the states.

Re: Postful Sends Snail Mail from Email

Too bad all my grandparents are dead.

Re: Postful Sends Snail Mail from Email

About the most useless website ever

Re: Postful Sends Snail Mail from Email

Way to go green.
