this site is pretty neat. i love how you don't need to register and you're automatically connected to your own board. it's also real simple. cool :)

Not having to register in order to use it is a definite perk. And everything works quite well. It's not super smooth Web 2.0, but it seems to get the job done.

I've used the whiteboard a couple of times tutoring my little brother in math from my apartment--very easy to use and saved me the hassle of having to explain everything over the phone rather then just drawing it out.

    Thanks scriblink!!

Pretty cool. Just goes to show that this whiteboard is literally a blank slate.

awesome site! paul, not sure what you mean when you say its not smooth? seems very smooth to me and it has everything i need (except for maybe desktop sharing)
  • PaulGlazowski · 1 year ago
It's not smoothly designed. It's not beautiful, that's all. That's not a major gripe. If it works, it works, but I don't mind it when something looks as good as it functions.

Very intuitive and easy to work with. Thanks for the tip

Very useful site. Love how you are immediately connected to your own private whiteboard ;)

Ah, immediate gratification is all too uncommon in the web app world, eh?

Have you tried Dabbleboard? It's also a collaborative whiteboard, but with a revolutionary UI that makes drawing much easier and faster.

    Interesting. Nice pick, thanks :-)

good to see they decided to drop the ads. more websites should follow in their footsteps. im tired of being molested by google ads and banners.
  • PaulGlazowski · 1 year ago
Too many Google ads isn't good. I even prefer some banners to text ads. Only in moderation, I think.

Why not offer a free, ad-supported version of the site that has limited capability for those who don't want or need the full scale solution?

I was hoping something like this would come out. As an architect student it makes life soooo much easier and efficient to use, especially when working with other classmates.

I have to say, this is a really cool idea. I tried Scriblink with some coworkers the other day to show them a couple of new plans and it made explaining it to them very simple and straightforward. Very nice!

This is soo cool...for play. Problem is that it doesn't have separate size options for lines and text, so you have to constantly change it back and forth, and it's by a bar and not specific, so it's hard to get exact with it. I wanted to use this for tutoring, but it's frustrating when you have to change the size back and forth for text and lines and everything is a different size everytime. It doesn't make for good equation solving.

I'm not going to lie, this is a pretty simple and intuitive whiteboard. It's great that it loads straight to a whiteboard when you pull up the page instead of having to click "launch whiteboard," and it's awesome that they offer a free version for people using it on a small scale. There's no such thing as a free lunch, but that's only because you can't eat whiteboards.
