BTW, don't take any of my "insults" personally - I'm only playing the "game" ;-)
1. People will continue to consume online porn regularly.
2. Spam email will continue to rise.
3. Organized online crime will continue to be more profitable than starting a Web 2.0 company by the tune of at least several billion dollars, but all the Mark Zuckerburgs will continue to think that they're money.
4. At least 5000 pregnancies will be the result of MySpace hookups. I accounted for 2-4 last year. I won't know for sure until the paternity tests are in.
5. My 25% of the $15 million I am helping get out of Nigeria for the former king will finally arrive just as promised. Ngobe if you read this please call me with an update. 281-330-8004
Yeah, that one made me laugh. Also check out the "Pete's Momma" jokes over on the 2007 Predictions post. Technically, this post isn't part of the competition though - it seems Web 2.0 Skeptic is quite happy leaving skeptical comments for free. ;)
* Geeks would stop wasting their time on Digg when they realized they have wasted nothing but their time and energy
* Web 2.0 sites will proliferate due in part to the success of YouTube
* Digg founders will regret not taking $150M and auction the site on ebay to the highest bidder. Digg may probably gets close to what Slashdot got ($20M) or maybe a little bit more.
* More companies will put video on YouTube
* The Nigerian scammers will go public under the stock symbol "DBBG" - "Don't Blame us, Blame the Greeds"
*Google beware, Wikia in on the move
* Mashable will get a buyout offer for over $100M - So, please Pete, take the money and don't be facebook and Digg. Then come up with something new for us, your fans:)
* Geeks and fans will nominate Pete Cashmore for the President of the United States. You will definitely get my vote. Maybe my husband will vote for you too. LOL. You will make a good president.
* Jobster will layoff more employees because of fierce competition from new web2.0 recruiting business model like Jobigg.
Hmmm....What else to say, I guess, I will say happy new year to you all :)
