All these entries seemed focused on helping users avoid wasting time. For the app that best integrates time tracking with the work you are supposed to do, check out PositiveWare at http://www.positiveware.com. Time Tracking, Project Management, Collaboration scalable from one user to hundreds.

    Hi Pete, nice post.

But what about the very simple stuff like ActiveTimer? http://osiris.laya.com/projects/activetimer/

    That's what I use.
It just tracks the apps you are active in. Nobody wants to waste more time using complicated time management tools. But it is helpful to take a glimpse of how much you work in excel, word or safari and where you surf around most...

    Cheers from kindo in London

    what about Slife? http://www.slifelabs.com/

I just let it run, then I can see chunks of effort as they relate to the various applications i use, and then record my time/efforts based on that.

It's OSX only, but still very much worth a mention.

Slife Teams http://www.slifeteams.com/ is a group version of Slife that I've used in my office to keep track of what everyone's up to, it's great stuff.

Ah, this is just what I need. I really have to limit my internet time at work, and something like this is just what the doctor ordered.

    Hi Palin,

A good time tracking application is Fanurio http://www.fanuriotimetracking.com . Fanurio has a few reminders to help you start, resume or stop the timer. It also has idle time detection and it can be used on Windows, Mac and Linux.
