Thanks!
What the hell are people talking about scam? or pyramid? its just a site to buy stuff, and its awesome i can see people's tastes. i hope my friends see my page so they see my top favorite artists yay! finally a site that shows top fave movies and music and not just friends like myspace.
Get a clue folks.
And having had numerous people try to recruit me... yeah, I'm familiar with them.
You need to do more research. You have no idea what constitutes a pyramid. They're ILLEGAL!!
Do you think Circuit City, Office Depot, Barnes & Noble, and the rest of our partners have lawyers? Would they affiliate with a "scam" operation? Michael Dell, speaking to the Detroit Economic Club stated that "the business that figures out how to create loyal communities online will dominate the internet". That's what we do for our partner stores, and they don't have to pay me for my word-of-mouth marketing until AFTER I've moved a product for them. It's a win-win deal. Obviously being "familiar" and knowing the facts are two different things.
A pyramid scheme exists when you get paid to get people to join the scheme. Those folk get paid for recruiting other people to join the scheme, and so on and so on. To keep making money, you need to keep recruiting, so eventually it should of course fail - as Albania discovered some years back.
In Amway you can recruit thousands and not make a cent, or you can recruit nobody and makes thousands.
It's a shame so many people don't know what they don't know about legitimate network marketing.
1) Money is made directly from registering new IBO's. That's illegal. It doesn't happen with Amway/Quixtar.
2) EVERY State AG recognizes this business as legal and ethical.
3) Amway operates in over 70 countries. What do their business regulators know that YOU don't?
4) The business concept is based on the same principle as other forms of franchising. You pay a franchising fee, you have access to a proven business system. You are paid based on the volume of product you are responsible for moving, etc. Ray Krock's daughter (heiress to McDonald's fortune)makes about $500 per day per restaurant world wide. Is she scamming all these McDonald franchisees?
I'm a Quixtar IBO. I have owned a traditional business for over 35 years. I know how business works and have been very successful. I have 18 employees that have been with me an average of 9 years, some as long as 22 years, so I must be doing something right.
I'm a social liberal / economic conservative. NOT a Republican.
For the dollar investment (less than $130) there is no better opportunity on the planet. Do most people that try it become financially successful? No. Do most people that start any other type of business have a higher success rate? No.
The whole CIC thing is a referrer program to drive people to the site. Nothing wrong with that.
Ive always wanted my friends to see my favorite bands, im a music whore hahaha so i think its awesome! whoever wrote this article obviously hasn't tried it.
"Refer friends and family, fellow students and business owners to one of our checking accounts today: When they open a new account, you can get a cash bonus and so can they.1
The more referrals you make, the more rewards you can get. And, there's no limit on how many
referrals you can make.
Can you identify whose "scam" this is?
Answer: Bank of America:
At Bank of America, we don't just say we appreciate your business–we show it.
You can get $25* for each friend you refer to us who opens a new, personal Bank of America checking account. The more referrals you make, the more rewards you can get. And there's no limit on the number of referrals you can make. Act quickly to take advantage of this offer.
The claim is that people are spending more on these "tools" than they are making in selling Amway products. I think for over 90% of IBO's this will be true and there needs to be a serious overhaul in the way BSM's are monitered. Companies like these include Network 21, Britt/Yager/IDA etc etc. Most, if not all, of these companies were/are misleading people during the sponsoring process and people often think they are joining the BSM and have no idea that they are in Amway until the form comes out.
Amway was poured over the hot coals for not doing enough to monitor the distributors who run these "systems". Subsequently for 6 months no-one was allowed to sponsor anyone. Amway reviewed their policy and have changed a few pricings (mostly in cleaning) and IBO's are now called Amway Business Owners to avoid confusion.
My personal opinion is that if you want to get into an Amway business, stay away from these companies as they can only be a drain on your account! Infact having participated and reviewed the activities of several of these BSM's I have come to the conclusion that most of these companies are teaching outdated or flat our disastrous techniques which have little or nothing to do with good sales and marketing practises.
I've taken the Energy Drink that came out recently and ran with it. Most of my friends love it and its a competitive price even at retail. I make about 50c for every can I sell and currently, though I don't make huge amounts, I do recoup my monthly expenses at the very least.
Wishing you all the very best,
Andrew
You obviously don't understand how Amway works. It is an endless chain of recruitment. No, you don't get paid directly for recruiting people, which makes it legal, but still the overall majority of people MUST fail because the only way to reasonably build volume is to recruit recruit recruit. You cannot achieve a diamond lifestyle by selling soap.
This is America people. Everyone has the right to be fleeced as suckers if that is what they want to do. That is the American Way (The Am-Way Way.)
1) You don't have to pay to join, nor recruit anyone. it's not a bussiness for you, you are not there to make money, you are there to purchase movies, music, games, whatever. its like amazon, instead of buying at the mall you buy online.
2) When you write a review on something, that icon (movie, cd, game) appears on your page.. just from writing a review, you dont have to buy anything.. and that's how people see the icons on your page and THATS how they click on buy.
3) If someone happens to see your collection of music, movies, games and they like something from your page and they click BUY from your profile, then when they checkout you will get a percentage. ITs a bonus. not a bussiness, like the interest you get in your savings account, its small but still cool you got it for no reason and you didn't even know about it.
4) It's like IMDB where you can write reviews about stuff not only movies but cd's and games too. THAT"S! why i like the site anyway. i like writing about really good or bad movies and bands.
5) I made 14 bucks on fanista without recruiting anyone.. simply from strangers landing on my page, and happened to like my music selections and bought those cd's. Since i was the last page they visited, my name appears under referral when they are checking out. and i guess i made money lol i didnt even know!
im outta here, im gonna go write more reviews, i just saw a few crappy movies id like to mention and discovered a new good band.
