And what is described here has been happening even before the crisis. I'm talking about Europe now, but the immigrant problems are the same all over the world. Of course economic crisis fueled the situation, and actually made people look in the numbers, which didn't change much from the last year for example. It's all about the mechanics of immigration, first father decides to leave for the foreign country, works hard, 3 jobs a day, and sends some money home - family thinks that life in that country is amazing and they www.chase.com immigrate too, putting strain on the finance of the 1 working male of the family - to the extent that it becomes unbearable, it's harder to find job for females and they immigrate back... this has been going on for a while now here in Italy. I'm a digital photography master, and I've photographed several places this people live, work...it's

Re: Head to Head: 4 Tools For Improving Comments On Your Blog

Haloscan is great comment system and i know it has more than hundred templtes for comment system...Great one..
DIY repairs

Re: Head to Head: 4 Tools For Improving Comments On Your Blog

Hi,
Thanks for posting an interesting article here .
Keep up posting good work................... : )
If you want to visit my site www.chryslerfinancialsite.com.

Re: Head to Head: 4 Tools For Improving Comments On Your Blog

I make this system but my blog auto closing. :S

Re: Head to Head: 4 Tools For Improving Comments On Your Blog

I completely relate to what you have mentioned here, nice to see 19 comments on this blog, just keep posting like this!

Re: Head to Head: 4 Tools For Improving Comments On Your Blog

Very nice post with detailed comparison. The comment feature also gives the person making the comment the option to be notified of new releases by the creator, and of new comments or replies on the thread. Best of all, the widget assumes the look n feel of the blogs stylesheet, so you don't have to bother with a unique style for your comment box. Seriously worth a try. The URL is http://www.buzzfuse.com/int...

HTH, it's a worthy addition to the list of comment engines you mention above.

Re: Head to Head: 4 Tools For Improving Comments On Your Blog

What about cocomment? I was surprised that it has not been mentioned in this post. My advice to the bloggers - Be careful with the comment replacement systems:

Make sure that you can get your data back: I have used YACC, than Haloscan and now Blogger comments and in the process lost 1000s of valuable comments to both of these systems. Exporting data from comment replacement system is easy, importing them back into your blog platform, not so much. So make sure that you have a plan in place to get the data back into your system before you start using a comment replacement system

Make sure that you keep your options open: One of the cool things about blogging with popular blog systems like wordpress is that there is a wonderful open source community that keeps producing cool plugins like CommentLuv etc. There were a number of times I wanted to try out some of these new innovations but using a proprietary platform was limiting.

Take a closer look at the SEO implications: Comments are important to having good page rank for your site. So make sure your comment replacement system exposes the comments so that they appear to be coming from your system and are not double indexed.

Summary: Don't just run after the latest comment replacement system. Weight the trade offs, your level of technical sophistication and than make a well considered choice

-J

Re: Head to Head: 4 Tools For Improving Comments On Your Blog

Palin,

Jitendra from SezWho here.

Great post...Indeed we are not a comment replacement system so the comment data stays within your system so there are no SEO issues/no ownership issues/no locking data in a walled garden.
