Check out Streamburst, an interesting alternative to DRM. It's a paid-for download service that offers non-DRM downloads in MPEG4, with high quality (Mac/PC/Linux), portable (e.g. iPod, PSP), and mobile options.

I'm using to service to distribute my film, In Search of the Valley: thre friends' journey into the psyche of Silicon Valley.

Good post. Does anyone know if it is legal to resell music that you purchase online from bit torrent or any other store?

I've always thought of BitTorrent as more of a technology than as an actual group, company, or service. It's very misleading for them to claim 135 million users, because BT isn't exclusive to their site. The millions of people using BT to get music, movies, programs, etc for free right now from other sites really have no incentive to go to this site and start paying for it.

I don't quite understand what this service has to offer that similar services don't.

Nobody is going to pay for anything from bittorrent. If anyone invested in that, they can say goodbye to their money. I cant believe the companies distributing this content haven't gotten it through their heads that no one is going to pay for something they can get for free.... and for them to team up with bittorrent lol. I mean, anyone who goes to that site is someone downloading stuff for free with no intention of paying.
