It links to their channel page if you click it.

My point is, if anything, Ustream has been FAR more adopted by the left than right. Which is not surprising considering the left tend to be early adopters.

Re: Mitt Romney’s Speech Breaks Online Video Views Records

When I linked that post, it had a LARGE graphic which actually included the words "show your support for Romney". It doesn't seem to be loading for me now. Server trouble, I guess.

I guess I'm a hater because I want articles that aren't overtly biased and belittling of people with an opposing viewpoint. Oh well.

Re: Mitt Romney’s Speech Breaks Online Video Views Records

Mark,

First, it is very clear that you meant this was a record on Ustream. Obviously Youtube is a million times bigger, but never the less, 100K of views in a day on Ustream is impressive for them.

As for Kyle, I have no idea where you are going with that because the blog post talks about both sides with no slant towards either. Ustream has been huge in the liberal world (YearlyKos, Obama, Clinton, Edwards, Kucinich, Gravel, Dodd, and many Democratic congressmen) and now picking up steam on the right (Romney, Michelle Malkin, etc.).

The power of their service is the story and its potential affect in politics is huge.

Mark, love what you are doing. You have been a tremendous addition to Mashable and as you continue to excel, the haters will come out of the woodworks.

GREAT WORK!

Re: Mitt Romney’s Speech Breaks Online Video Views Records

It ate my link!

http://ustream.tv/blog/2007...

Re: Mitt Romney’s Speech Breaks Online Video Views Records

I encourage anyone who thinks that Ustream is "an open environment receptive to both the left and right" to look at this posting on their official blog:

BTW, Where is Cashmore lately?

Re: Mitt Romney’s Speech Breaks Online Video Views Records

Carlo,

I need no disclosure. The only pertinent employer I need mention is Mashable. No one else involved in the story in any way pays me money.

You clearly missed the point of the story... as I've pointed out both by example and by illustration here in past writings, most of Web 2.0 leans left (or has the perception of such). That UStream has an open environment receptive to both the left and right is news-worthy.

Also note that Obama's recorded videos on UStream rank far below just about anything else there.

I'm sorry it upsets you that Romney's speech was a major news event. At the end of the day, though, what I wrote had to do with things that mattered, and what you wrote was a bunch of childish insults.

Re: Mitt Romney’s Speech Breaks Online Video Views Records

Good try Jizzin but those numbers are nothing compared to YouTube views.

Romney video on ustream - 134,693 views
Obama video on YouTube - 574,564 views

At lease Ruffini points out that he is a "political advisor" to UStream where is your disclosure?
