As soon as I got there (Singapore) the phone showed that it picked up the local providers but there were no signal bars and I could not make calls like last time.

Called customer service when I got back; they said "Oh, we updated something and that re-set your option to use the phone overseas. You had to call us and re-set that function." Oh really? I said. "Um, how many f-ing ways do you have to get a hold of me? Text? Email? Voice? and I have to call YOU to re-set something that should never have to be set in the first place! WTF?!?" The guy was like: "Hm, a text message - that's a good idea; not sure why they don't do that...."

HOPELESS customer service if they can't grasp something so basic.

Re: T-Mobile Down Nationwide

T-Mobile is just awful... for those t-mobile customers that need a place to "bitch" about them, http://www.muttr.com there's simply no better site.

Re: T-Mobile Down Nationwide

Settle the hell down people, it was only for half a day. These kinds of things happen, you all take for granted that you have the right to 24/7 service now a days. But I do believe all T-Mobile users should be credited for the time paid without service.

Re: T-Mobile Down Nationwide

I fortunately had no emergencies during the outage. That would certainly taint my perspective. Among the three providers that I've used I have had the best service and the best customer service with T-mobile.

While unquestionably frustrating I for one have not included the temporary loss of cell service as one of my silent screams!

Re: T-Mobile Down Nationwide

Is there any relevance in your post to what I said? I get better reception with TMOBILE than anything else. At&t is just a name there is areas where the calls do not come in. My sister had verizon and inside her house she had no service and i did. What u stated is a opinion not a fact. Calls from some T-Mobile phones as well as the news coverage, confirm that there is a problem. Some customers may have signal bars, calls from their phones usually result in a busy signal or a disconnection. Nothing is posted on tmobile.com or mytmobile.com, however they are nice enough to provide a LINK on how to report outages or service disruptions.

gifts for men

Re: T-Mobile Down Nationwide

I travel overseas alot and dont bring an international phone or plan with me, I dont want to roam, etc, lost, etc....I always come back within two weeks and I plug my phone in and get my missed text. there is never an issue. When I went to manually search and register on T-mobile, a message came up saying my sim card is not able to register on this network haha. I got my service back but I am not getting texts at the right time, and my MyFaves app just dissapeared.... hmm

Re: T-Mobile Down Nationwide

Blame jailbroken iPhones. I have T-mobile service on three phones for two years. I have a great family plan, like no dropped calls, and a low bill because of Fav5 and unlimited family text. No doubt I was a little pissed on the hour ride home, but happy when I got home to know it was only an outage, and not my blackberry. I was even able to sign into MSN Messenger, and connected with my daughter to make sure she was safe. So I had no voice or text, but IM worked. With all the chaos in this world, a major carrier has one issue, and the world freaks out?? I would rather have a quiet ride home with the radio/cd player, than go to At&t for their spotty 3G coverage.. OOPS.. haha!

Re: T-Mobile Down Nationwide

Nice, i like T-Mobile

Re: T-Mobile Down Nationwide

Tempe, Arizona... pretty much nothing is working. Drove home from work in SF to San Jose, about 50 miles. Had bars but little icon of a phone handset has a red line thru it. Also when I tried to call or check voice mail I get a message "Not Allowed." Now approaching 5 hours with no service. Don't know if I had service before I left work so could be even longer.
