Susan Boyle's fame is very well deserved and she can sing more than one song. wait until fall when her album comes out. I, too, think she should've won Britain's Got Talent but its history now. I just hope her album does very well and she digests her fame to become one of the best singers ever, and not just overnight-celebrity as some claim she is. She gave an interview today with NBC and talked about things she has gone through ever since she was on Britain's Got Talent. Check it out here http://www.susanboyle.org

She's got great pipes. But she needs to stop rushing. The judges overlooked that for various reasons I'm guessing, or maybe they don't care or even know. Having a stellar voice, and range, and tonality is important. Equally important though, in my opinion, is having a sense of time. Rushing those lines in "I dreamed a dream" really spoils it. She's so close to being stunning. But just spitting out verses with disregard for time is awful. She's gotta go back to basics and practice with a metronome.

In listening to that recording of "Cry me a River" I didn't notice her rushing. Maybe it was because she had a producer guiding her through it. I love studio recordings, even more than live ones, because they pay so much attention to detail - time, intonation, dynamics, improv, etc. It's the ultimate. Live is so hard to deal with. I'd guess that she was very nervous, though, in the live performance. And maybe the judges realized that. She's so musical, also, that she's not quite ready to deal with the crazy media world. That's OK though. She just needs a super agent that understands that, and works with her. Often times, the most talented singers are a bit "off" when it comes to dealing with other things. That's the price you pay for talent. It's not free. If it was that easy, everyone would do it. Great agents realize this and make accommodations. Rarely does someone come along with the whole package. Al Jarreau and Michael Jackson are examples of the "whole package" though even those guys needed to be guided.

But what's beautiful about music is the struggle. Everyone's struggling for greatness, and nobody ever quite achieves it. That's what magical - the never-ending search for perfection.

I AM OLD ENOUGH TO BE SUSAN BOYLE'S MOTHER......I CANNOT SING A NOTE, BUT I LOVE MUSIC. SUSAN WAS A BURIED TREASURE.......FOUND AT LAST.

Take note people: Underneath our souls all along we hunger for a extraordinary beautiful voice to knock us off our feet. Finally the heaven above gave us this innocent, naive, no voice training how to sing woman, to open her mouth and sing so pure that we got chills up and down our spine. Her voice stop us from doing what we were doing and listen. I finally said to myself, "Now that a voice to be hear." Here is woman who claim to flame is going to be alittle short, because she rocking 50"s and as we all know voice changes as we get older, so I'm very elated for her to finally get a chance in life to be in the spotlight, before she get old. Many of us don't even get that moment, we live and pass away without leaving a positive mark for the future generation to see. I know in my heart she will leave something wonderful in the world that we will never forget. Don't get me wrong I'm elated for Diversity for winning. Let's look at this way they young and they have a long career ahead of them. My best to them, very creative and innovating.

Susan was the really winner not thoses crappy dancers yes she did sing that song before but those dancers did the same dances as well. Judgeing a singer against oter types of entertainment is rubbish it should havw stayed a singing contest not a circus

I think her not winning is immaterial to her future success. It didn't hurt a number of American Idol contestants to come in second or even third.

I still don't know who won BGT yet..I heard some diversity group but never watched what they did on the contrary for me Susan Boyle won the competition because I have heard soo much about her than anyone else. Befor suan I didn't know that British Got Talent! existed!! now I do. Thanks Susan for making such a great history. I can only assured you that any woman in Britain would wish to have the opportunity you currently have on your hands.

Many of the critical comments about Susan have been disgusting. Recently I happened on to Bill Maher's "Real Time" program. He openly poked fun at Susan, basically calling her unattractive and a flash in the pan. There were so many other comments along the same line. However, for every snide comment, there were tens of thousands of complliments and praise. She is one terrific little lady. This old native Texan wishes the very best for her. May she rise to the top in the music world!!!!!

That Susan Boyle did not win this competition speaks ill for the competition, but not for Susan Boyle. This woman is gifted with a voice that will tear your heart out and send it souring. She does not only have a one-in-a-million voice, those voices are pedestrian compared to hers, she has that rare gift that can grace an entire generation if allowed to. I hope and pray that the real Susan Boyle will be undeterred by the her critics and remain the sweet, simple person (with a not-so-simple gift) that she is. Wake up people! We have a gem here and should cherish it, not destroy it.

I herd today in the news that a few hours after the final, she collapsed and committed to the hospital. I really hope she will be fine and recover soon.
