No surprise to Palo Altans.... we would see Steve around town and he looked gaunt and sickly. We are praying for his recovery.

Apple's PR team are brilliant strategists. This was an exceptionally well-timed (and to me at least, totally intentional) leak. Kudos, Apple!

    "perhaps sicker than many imagined"

Sorry, but you say "pancreatic cancer" to any respectable surgeon, and that's practically a death sentence.

a person gets a liver transplant and people worry about investors? lame.

A liver transplant is a pretty major operation, and we wish Steve Jobs a good recovery so that he can continue his excellence at Apple.

As someone who has had several immediate family members die from pancreatic cancer, Jobs' secrecy continues to allow the insurance and medical research field to ignore this killer of a disease. When your "good" insurance won't pay for screening or research participation, one wishes they had Jobs' bucks to have their organs transplanted, but to keep it quiet.

I know his health is technically his own business, but i am seething at the grandiosity he's displaying and i hope that i don't die because he's held back information that could potentially save millions of lives.

Mr Jobs, I am praying that your faith be strengthened in all of this. Jesus is a healer but the world doesn't believe it. But ain't it good when you don't need the world's faith, when yours is sufficient. No matter what...Believe.

Glad he received his transplant but have to question if he did not receive preferential treatment. There is a related post at http://iamsoannoyed.com/?p=1887
