Great to see social networks coming up with new solutions.

Here is another important cause and all it will take is a click.

Please show your solidarity for the people of Burma as the first anniversary of Cyclone Nargis approaches (May 2nd ~ 150,000+ dead). As we saw last year, our policy of sanctions is ultimately harming the people much more than it helps. Money still gets into the people who already have it, causing the poor to be more and more alienated. In the meantime the Irrawaddy is so polluted with mercury from the gold mining that China is doing in Kachin State (boarders on China and Myanmar/Burma) that the fish float belly up--an important traditional food source is now killing people.

Please sign this petition to drop the sanctions on Burma.
http://www.thepetitionsite....

Re: Social Media Smackdown Raises $35,000+ for Charity

This is what makes everything worth while, congrats to mashable

Re: Social Media Smackdown Raises $35,000+ for Charity

What a great way to raise awareness for those specific charities, and a great example of how social media can truly change the world!
