What kind of retarded organization buys a company for multiple billions of dollars but doesn't buy ALL of the patents and technology to make it work? Yahoo!

Josh - Not just Ouch! Mega Ouch! Janus Friis and Niklas Zennstrom first create a company that is non profitable and then proceed on to sue the company after their exit. This is sheer madness.

Two questions come from reading this article: what is so valuable in that piece of code, what does it do? And the second one, in a humorous tone would be, are you kidding us?!

Skype recently got a possible buyer for around 2 Billion, it took them months to get that possible sale. And now they get sued for an outrageously high price that means over 2 billion in a little over a month! It seems like a joke, yet it is not. Let's hope that there is some explanation to this, and justice is somehow served.

Weren't the founder of Skype not allowed in the United States for some reason. This sounds like a set up plan to me.

Wonder whether Andreesen & Co saw this coming? Big pressure from Skype founders, put on at a critical time in the purchase process. Will it pay off or blow up in their face? As the world *bleeep* oh, wait a minute, got a skype call comin' in...brb...

I really hope this doesn't mean a mandatory upgrade and removal of features in Skype, or, more horribly, the theoretical end of Skype.

LoL coming from the creators of Kazaa.

I don't use Skype anymore, it's not web based! They should sell or integrate with Facebook. Some platform millions already use. They lost me to gmail.

Looks like they realized they sold their cash cow and didn't get what they wanted for it, and are now trying every way they can to get it back or "get rich quick". Losers if you ask me.

Wonder how many meetings have taken place since the lawsuit was served, and I wonder whether the buyers knew it was coming.

people just want money, sounds like they were planning to sue even before it was originally sold to ebay. they are suing for more $ than what they sold it for.

sound like someone regret selling it.
