Computer stores (and ISPs) get robbed all the time. I've heard of a few cases where unfortunate employees who were there at the wrong time were injured or even killed. Therefore I find this iAppleStoreShooting story to be rather ridiculous.

I agree with you personne. The marketing of this headline was clever and no doubt very deliberate in including reference to an Apple Store. If the headline had been : Computer store clerk shot in the arm during an armed robbery, nobody would have clicked on the link - myself included.
You know news was once provided as a public service, now it's simply an opportunity for keyword placement and linkbait.

Pete, this Apple store is a few minutes away from my place. I even bought my new iPhone from there several days ago. Arlington, VA was always considered a great place to live. I never heard of any such incidents in the 7 years I've been here.
