now they are saying on KTVU that the bridge is closed indefinitely lol. Shoot, if I were 73 years old, I'd be breaking too!

the bridge across lake champlain, between new york and vermont has been closed now for a week. they've called it a disaster, and it is. this is goin' to start happenin' all across the country as the infrastructure starts to crumble. they talk of creatin' jobs? well i'd say there's plenty of work for those of us who are outta work, if they'd just quit dottlin' about it.

not texting while driving... but tweeting!
  • Peter · 1 month ago
To my knowledge, tweeting while driving is not addressed in the no-texting law.

Used to use frequently, but I dont live there anymore. But even if it's broken, it's still safer than crossing under the floor of the Pacific Ocean on an earthquake fault line in a computer-driven train! (Remember the BART tunnel fire? I missed that one by only one day!

uhh, did you guys ask the right to display the pic like that? talk about major copyright infringement. Does twit pic give you the right to just steal content like that? yikes.
  • Ryan · 1 month ago
Wow. Twitter is first on the scene again.

The first "stock" picture of the bridge is the wrong section of the bridge. The incident happened on the east span. They are currently building a new east span, so even if this bridge is 73 years old it won't be there for much longer, so you don't need to worry about it getting worse.

People constantly knock on Twitter, but it's events like these that remind the World how effective this service is.
