So glad they came out with an iPhone app, the website has been useful!
  • john pickens · 5 months ago
dude this is epic :D worth the price
  • cherita · 5 months ago
Lol. That is the best app ever! I could've used it when I went to see the craptastic Transformers 2.

I can finally watch Titanic and The Godfather in their entirety!

gives the term "movie goers" a whole new meaning.

As soon as I saw the website, I thought a mobile app would be great. And then I looked at the content of the website and they very poorly chose points in my opinion for most movies. It needs a preference if you just care about retarded action sequences or if you actually want to watch important story developments...
  • Alec Stolz · 5 months ago
Being able to set preferences as to what you were willing to miss would make things better, but at least now you won't be blindly leaving the theater. Plus it tells you what you missed.

I'm there for you man. I'm going to add something like a tag for the PeeTimes to indicate things like: action, music montage, sex, general, etc. But first I'll add the ability for users to vote on which PeeTime they think is the best to use so that users who haven't gone to the movie yet can get the opinions of those who have. Just let me know if there is anything else you can think of to make the service better.

And thanks to everyone else for your comments. I'm working hard to keep improving the service. Look for a total redesign of the site this Fall.

RunPee, the iphone apps to bring to the movie ... HAHAHAHAHAH funny as hell
  • lcalcote · 5 months ago
I've yet to pay for an iPhone app, but think this one may break my streak.
  • Anderson Oliveira · 5 months ago
    lol. This is funny.

    But I'll need a try :)

Would work quite well with most recent Hollywood movies, which have crappy enough plots that you're not going to miss much by reading it text-only anyway.

Yet another example that a clever iPhone app can solve any of life's dilemmas. Love it!

Definitely a great platform to run ads for Flomax. Gotta keep those extra revenue streams trickling in :)

That would mean you have your phone on during the film, which is not something people need to be encouraged to do.
  • RunPeeCreator · 5 months ago
My hope is that people would wait until they leave the theater to read the plot synopsis. And the update with the vibration before a PeeTime should help people use the app without looking at the screen during a movie.
  • Bathroom · 5 months ago
    This is useful
  • Victor · 5 months ago
Can it vibrate in your pocket when its time to go or do you have to pull it out and keep checking?
  • RunPeeCreator · 5 months ago
The vibrate feature is part of the first update that is already being worked on.
  • DemoGeek.com · 5 months ago
Unfortunately you cannot use this app when you are watching non-English movies I guess.
  • RunPeeCreator · 5 months ago
@DemoGeek.com, well, you'll have to wait a while but it will be internationalized. I'll start working on it this Fall. It will be an ongoing process.

Not recommended for Touch users: RunPee only seems to have access to the info when my Touch is connected to wi-fi. That makes RunPee pretty much useless for Touch users who aren't at Alamo Drafthouse. It would be super-nice if it could download the info for a movie beforehand. Hmm... Maybe I can use the new copy-paste to transfer the info to a note?
  • RunPeeCreator · 5 months ago
@gsmaustin, I got your back. We didn't add that to the initial release because it increased the changes that Apple would reject the app on the first submission. But we're working on the update right now. Local storage and vibrate before a PeeTime are tops on the list.

It's a sorry thing to encourage people whipping out their phones in theatres.
