If Amazon can't even get the Kindle down to $199 do you really think an Apple tablet computer will be below $300? I'm thinking more like $599 at least.

Any idea on what the cost is going to be? I've seen rumors saying "reasonable" but what does that mean? I'm hoping for under $300 anyone think that's possible?

As usual, the Apple rumor Mill starts almost a year before the real product gets here. During that time we all start dreaming of what it will be like, and drawing up photoshoped pictures of what we think it will be like. We all are waiting with money in our hands for our dream device. Then it finally comes out, and it doesn't even have copy paste functionality!, but we are still so infatuated with what we thought it would be that we buy it anyway. Then six generations later, it's almost we thought it would be in our dreams. Apple doesn't sell devices, it sells fantasy.

Q1 release would be nice. That means we could see it by Christmas or New Years. Unless of course you are referring to Q1 CY2010, and not Apple's Q1 FY2010.
