Just because the President has the right to an opinion does not mean he is still not a leader that is always in the public eye, thus he must constantly watch what he says and does.

I personally think that was very rude of him. He as a president should know not to judge other people when you haven't walked in their shoes. Kanye is a very successful man and few people can achieve that success. Furthermore, I always look at both sides of the story before I judge people. Kanye went through a very hard time and sometimes stress can cause you to act before you think. He further apologized and understood his mistake the next day. That takes a lot of guts and I would not have judged him that quickly.

I don't judge unless I put myself in that individual's shoes.

Why does this have to be turned into an "incident" against Obama? Are people just THAT addicted to drama? Give it a rest and get a life!

So Obama called Kanye a jackass. Don't we want our presidents to tell the truth?

Kanye was dead wrong for what he did! i agree, yes president obama had as right to his own opinion, comments, remarks or whatever, however i do think calling Kanye West a jackass was inappropriate, for one president Obama is the president and that means leadership! Kanye did something unethical and so did the President! Itz about standards, and just like the person said above, he didn't comment on Joe Wilson? hummm? Im not sayn i have doubt about Presisent Obama, but in the future he needs to be mindful of what he say and do!

Second, thank God... finally a politician who "just tells it like it is"! OF course, he didn't pick a very difficult subject to weigh in on, my 6 year old nephew knows not to interrupt someone getting an award!

I don't think President Obama "went off" on Kanye as you stated, he simply stated the obvious that Kanye is a jackass in an off the record interview. I am sure behind closed doors the president has said that Joe Wilson is a jackass as well. Kanye is an entertainer and that alone, Joe Wilson is part of what makes our country run (I DO NOT CONDONE HIS STATEMENTS BY ANY MEANS) so I think when the President decides to brush it off in the public eye he is doing so to keep peace amongst them. Like I said Kanye is just an entertainer so who really cares what anybody, including the President, has to say about him? Until Kanye is running for office of any kind I could care less what our president has to say about him! I agree that it is hilarious!

yeh its ok for the president to comment on Kanye West and honestly I agree. But, its ironic that he goes off on West, and politely accept the response to Joe Wilson. Remember Joe Wilson the racist republicain from South Carolina that called him a lie on national TV, to his face. You know I am beginning to have some serious doubt about President Obama. You know Joe's no better than West but his outburst raised him a million dollars in his political campaign fund . America should be ashamed.

good for Obama! I liked him before and now like him even more! Caring about wrongs of the world as well as caring about a teenage girl who was insulted in a very public manner! Good for him. Kayne West needs to do more than just apologize to that young lady. She seems very a very clean cut sort of young person and he comes across as nothing more than a thug and a bully. She showed grace and poise ... good for her and shame on him!

I think it just goes to show what kind of president we have, again! What an unprofessional man we have in the White House. I sure didn't vote for him and wish America had been awake when they voted. He's nothing to be proud of as a leader of our, used-to-be, great country.
