Yup, just sent a test for a Posterous account and will be transferring my semi-personal blog on that platform. Just don't know yet if I can import from Wordpress to Posterous.

Writing posts by addressing emails to Posterous is actually pretty intuitive. It looks like they're sticking to their roots here, and that's good.

You know the business and personal uses for this are really swimming around in my head - teams, a network of experts, families - communities of any kind really.

    Ugly UID
    Redundant ideas
    Overall poorly put together

    really nice!
I just tried it out and I like it a lot. . .
Very easy way to have a blog or share information :)

Thank you posting these goodies! I am still keeping busy with the last blog I read on Outlook Track-It, the plugin/addon for Outlook that lets you flag emails for followup reminders. I'm always grabbing great software from this site. Any others --please post!

Like you wrote e-mailing looks backward but Posterous offers people who are barely comfortable with social networking the possibility to keep up and be on par with others (be they family members or whatever) who are.

Actually this reminds me of an idea me and a friend submitted to Ycombinator last September :)

We didn't get accepted but maybe the idea wasn't that bad after all :)

    Best of luck guys,
    Pedro

I have to agree -- email is the "elephant in the room" of social media, as a friend of mine, Ankesh Kumar, likes to say. And yet, so many of these types of applications, which are very innovative in principle, give barely a nod to great content like this story that stimulates the discussion in the first place. I work with a company called Grouptivity.com, which is working with a number of news publishers to turn their content into community, and share in the revenue the traffic drives. Check out share+, and thanks for the great content here at Mashable!

We use Posterous at flabell.posterous.com - it's excelent, easy to use and looks really nice with it's minimalist desing.

I can't believe how easy to use is compared to other blogging platforms. :)
