I have yet to use this service yet, but it looks cool. Why would someone use this over Tumblr though?

I am just curious to reasons why someone would choose this instead. Would love to hear why.

I like how if you want to embed pictures or youtube videos you just need to put in the url. No HTML knowledge needed. It's awesome.

That would be an advantage over Blogger or Wordpress, but not Tumblr.

I'll stick with the default design, that's part of the beauty of Posterous :)

Damnit I just starting using Tumblr, and one of its biggest winning points over Posterous was themes.

I have not posted to my posterous in a month. This is great news to me. I will surely give it a try.

Great post and I share the same sentiments. I love Posterous.. I'd definitely be interested in Feed Burner support too. In fact, if I'm going to continue using the service I think it will have to appear pretty soon!

I love posterous. So simple, yet effective and it is always showing at the top of google for a few of my keywords. Tumblr suspended my account without any warning or reason so I will always choose posterous over them.

I hope they create a nice theme gallery like Tumblr themselves have, with a section for new and popular themes. Getting more themes into Posterous will be amazing. It must be that still 99% of the Posterous sites I visit use the default, which is really nice, but some variety would be nice.
