    Great post James!

My only question is... how long does it take you to research and write a post like this? lol

    Cheers,
    Aidan

This one was at least 3 1/2 hours, the blogging resources was at least 5 1/2 hours. Certainly does take a long time, but well worth it when it is completed and seeing everyone giving good feedback.

Thanx, these are good resource collections - why not archive all of your Toolbox entries into one large Directory?

I only have one addition: bubbl.us is a nice tool to create mind maps online.
  • James Mowery · 2 years ago

  • Betty G · 2 years ago
How come you did not include hopstop.com in your mapping rounding up. the site rocks!!
  • James Mowery · 2 years ago
There are so many sites... that's why I like it when people post more, because when i finish the article I always know there is going to be something I have missed, as even here I am learning about new sites every day :)

Thank you for this compilation! Much appreciated.

Great roundup- I wanted to mention that you left out myDataBus.com in the File Storage Services! myDataBus offers 5GB of storage for a free account to store or backup your files along with all kinds of collaboration and sharing features.

myDataBus is also integrated with a couple of the sites you mention -- including all 3 of Zoho's productivity apps (Writer, Sheet and Show), Plaxo's address book widget, and another tool you left out called Snipshot. (http://www.snipshot.com - great online image editing tool!)

Thanks again, and keep up the great recommendations!

well i don't see the RSS reader i use up there, i use http://www.itsmynews.com. i really like there clean layout and how you can use them even if you don't know much about how RSS works. i also like how they have a site of the day feature and the fact that i can share a feed i like with my friends so easily. Anyways i think you guys should all give them a try, and maybe they can even be added to the list:)

Good website for online event registration
  • e-Mino · 2 years ago
I just noticed you recommended using Google docs. There is a downside to that however, namely that by doing so you authorise Google to use any and all documents you create !

Uploading your file to more then one place is always a good idea.

This not only makes sure that people gets the file but also gives an option to people to use their favorite file hosting provider to download.

Upload Mirrors allows you to upload files to multiple hosting providers in one click.

(RapidShare, MegaUpload, EasyShare, DepositFiles, ZShare, FlyUpload, SendSpace, Badongo, NetLoad, MegaShare, ZippyShare and UploadedTo )

and then provides you one link which contains links to all these sharing service.

This makes it easy for anybody to distribute ebooks, movies, mp3 files or Dj Mixes to share with his friends.

keep your files online! No more broken links!
