If you actually research it you would see that the were well over 100 possible candidates and he was not the best choice. Look for my post on here with the link. Obama was only in office 10 days before he was nominated. He had not done anything even close to the magnitude that the other candidates for the Award had and he still hasn't. The Nobel Peace Prize is now nothing but a Political Piece of Crap and it is not awarding the most deserving.

Seen Both ways. Hasn'tdone any thing to get noble prize. There are plenty of others who are better placed to get the noble. On the other side as an encouragement to do some good things is the rationalizing point indicated by the committee. My suggestions. Give nobel prize to every child so that they are inspired to perform better in future. Politicization of Nobel peace prize or the committee getting corrupt, i cant get it. Why only an US president is given to inspire good work. Why not a third world country leader . They are in more need of inspiration . I know at least 10 people who deserve nobel peace prize. So embarrasing for the entire world.

The people that say Obama doesn't deserve the Nobel prize are politically unconscious. Obama dismantled the missile shield in Eastern Europe and relieved tensions throughout the world. The doomsday clock was turned back 2 minutes in the good direction. Efforts with the Iranians are already producing tangible results. Obama's speech at the UN in re: nuclear weapons reductions set the world on a different path and greatly raised awareness throughout the world. The health care for children, the economic recovery act, and countless other actions have greatly contributed to world peace. To say Obama hasn't done anything is a nothing more than a projection of the shame based unconscious of the naysayers.
