I do not use them. App invites just clutter up my Request box. I block them all.

Nobody uses FB apps anymore, apparently this includes everyone at Mash. I'd be lying if I said I liked this poll. It's pointless like Mafia Wars. A better polling question would've been--What apps would you like to see added/removed in light of the new FB roll-out, specifically addressing the new open graph API and its implications for apps.

I don't use apps at all really, but the VanishTeam app lead to the capture of Wired writer Evan Ratliff, who had tried to disappear for 30 days for a story he was writing about people who vanish ($5000 reward to anyone who could find him). twitter is the way to go for information, hence i would vote for http://www.mytweetmark.com because you can save all your bookmarks, blogs and posts in one place, and share on facebook or twitter by simply giving your audience, 1 link!

The Twitter app is my favorite because it cuts your posting time in half by your Facebook post being automatically posted on your Twitter account.
FriendFeed and Digsby are the perfect combination: the first to populate my wall with the activity I have on FF and other sites, the second to chat with friends. In this way I can keep in touch with my FB friends without even logging in there!

I don't block a lot of the invites and stuff, but I ignore them. I know people need to send out a certain amount to level up sometimes, so that's ok. Kidnapped is fun.
Facebook is different from twitter in how I use it...connecting to friends, sharing pics, etc.
Friend a day is good, too.

It would be great if someone would write an RSS importing app that actually functioned. Everything out there now is worthless broken trash.
The Facebook platform must be hell to code for with all the changes they make. No wonder only crap like FarmVille and Mafia Wars work properly- they have the money to pay someone to make sure their application still works every day.
