Mashable - The Social Media Guide: Kevin Rose and Alex Albrecht Go On Jimmy Fallon, Plug Twitter

20K followers around now. That's pretty good. They should have told people to sign up for twitter with their cellphones at home, then follow from there too.

So what. When you have tens of thousands of followers such as Rose and Albrecht it's easy to get the lemmings to come out and follow a Bryan Brinkman. Add to that national exposure and basically an add on Digg. What conversational value does their little experiment bring to twitter? About as much as @theellenshow does. Try this again on a more grassroots level and leave the twitterstars out of it and then see what happens-- that would be a really good experiment.

II've seen Russell Brand on some of the late nite talk shows and I have to go with the twitter below:

@mikememoli: I can't decide if Russell Brand is funny or really annoying.

I need to know him a little better before making fun of him, but from what I've seen so far he's really funny.

Twitter ID @DPBKMB, please help me, I have no life IRL.

I Like the idea of getting social with Twitter and Late night. Like anything else it if the show is good the social aspect will only help to ignite virally more followers and viewers. If the show content and quality is poor the social aspect will have little effect on its success.

Pretty cool, Conan O’Brien was a little too zzz for me. Jimmy Fallon could be a good change from the past late night grey hair humor.... Now that something I can give a Hoot... (o,o)

I think Jimmy Fallon's show is great! It will be interesting to see how his show is going to affect the tech community. While he mentions Twitter and Digg, which are two things that are very familar to us, the rest of the world is wondering what in the world he's talking about. The fact that he attended CES and is very vocal about being interested in what's going on in the tech industry is great. I find it refreshing and will continue to tune in. :)
