Regardless of her deserving the award or not, that's still horribly rude and he's a jerk for doing that. That makes him look bad and it also makes Beyonce look bad. In my opinion, I don't think Beyonce deserved the award, that song just repeats itself over and over, and the video was just so skanky! When Beyonce gave her the stage [the most important moment of the VMA0, Taylor started her speech with a very cocky statement, to wit, "maybe we can try this again..."???? Did you not hear/see that? Any sympathy I had for her was lost right there and then. What in the world was she thinking? I believe that when Taylor won the award, Kayne should have not took the mic from and her and state that "Beyonce had the best video of all time!". It was very disrespectful to Taylor! Sorry for spelling a few things wrong. I was just so mad to see the Awards and have to see that fool who acts as though he was 10 years old? Why? He embarrassed Beyonce so bad that she must have wanted to die. He thought he was complimenting her but he was just putting her on the spot. Beyonce is amazing and she is already an Icon and has been around for years winning awards and for her, it's more fun to see other artists win. It's boring to give the award to the same artist over and over because at the end of the day we love them all and the reality is that the awards are just an excuse for us to get together and pay are respects for the people that make us smile when we have nothing to smile about. For the artists like Michael who I feel ashamed for turning my back on him. I love him and I cried when Modanna told her story because it was all our faults for letting him go. We should have supported him much more online and in the media so he would have wanted to be here with us for a few more years. Kanye West missed the whole messege of what Micheal Jackson stood for. It was supposed to be a loving night in the memory of Micheal Jackson and the last thing Micheal Jackson would have wanted to see was racisam. Kanye should apologize a few times throughout the next few months and even make a song about it because he really messes up as bad as Shane Oconnor did back in the days when she ripped up a picture of the pope. If artists apologize from the heart, we will eventually forgive them because if we don't we would be as bad as him. We need to forgive him for Micheal Jackson and teach him that if he apologizes and really committs to the apology we might forgive him for what he did. I truly feel that he disrespected Michael Jackson, His family, Taylor, her family and friends, The fans of both hers and Micheal, his own fans, beyonce, and to tell you the truth the only person who should be kissing Beyonce's ass the big should be Jay - Z. Sorry this is so long but I need to get this off of my chest…lol…Wow...I'm so saddened by some of these comments, especially the one above by F**k You. F**k You’s comment is absolutely ignorant, as is the comment made about Taylor Swift being a country hick. It is so sad that people thrive on drama and hatred. Please, do you not realize that Friday was 9/11? Have you forgotten how much that united us as a people? I was so proud of my people when I saw how we stood together and loved one another…UNITED!!

I was very disappointed by Kanye's actions tonight, however, not surprised. I felt Taylor handled the situation very gracefully and she is a beautiful young lady. I was extremely touched by Beyonce's act of maturity and gracefulness. She reminisced of her time, being 17 (with Destiny’s Child), winning a VMA and invited Taylor on stage. I thought to myself, what a class act, absolutely beautiful!

What is truly sad about all of this is that it was supposed to be a night of love and peace. Why do people have to drop so low and use such hurtful words?

I absolutely love music and it feeds my soul! Do not forget also that what makes music so beautiful is its diversity. It’s all in the eyes of the beholder. What I might find to be a beautiful song, somebody else might think that it’s crap. But we are all entitled to our opinions. Thank God for the country we live in and the freedom of speech!

I am a fan of Kanye’s but I will say that his music lately doesn’t have the passion and heart that it used to. His song Jesus Walks was a beautiful song and the person that knocked it before probably never listened to the words and the true beauty (and message) behind the song. I have noticed (long before this incident) that Kanye is not a huge fan of white people. I would not call Kanye a racist but he is an extremely proud black person, there’s nothing wrong with being proud, but sometimes it is to the point that he overlooks the good qualities in white people. That is where people may get the perception that he is a racist. In addition and Kanye makes no apologies for this, he is an extremely cocky person who thinks he is the best and does not care what anybody thinks. I will say that if Kanye does not get off his high horse and get back in touch with the words that used to inspire me, I won’t be a fan of his music any longer. As for his actions, there is a saying: Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? We all need to be reminded of this because none of us, not even me, are perfect!

I was very disappointed by Kanye's actions tonight, however, not surprised. I felt Taylor handled the situation very gracefully and she is a beautiful young lady. I was extremely touched by Beyonce's act of maturity and gracefulness. She reminisced of her time, being 17 (with Destiny’s Child), winning a VMA and invited Taylor on stage. I thought to myself, what a class act, absolutely beautiful!

What is truly sad about all of this is that it was supposed to be a night of love and peace. Why do people have to drop so low and use such hurtful words?

I absolutely love music and it feeds my soul! Do not forget also that what makes music so beautiful is its diversity. It’s all in the eyes of the beholder. What I might find to be a beautiful song, somebody else might think that it’s crap. But we are all entitled to our opinions. Thank God for the country we live in and the freedom of speech!

I am a fan of Kanye’s but I will say that his music lately doesn’t have the passion and heart that it used to. His song Jesus Walks was a beautiful song and the person that knocked it before probably never listened to the words and the true beauty (and message) behind the song. I have noticed (long before this incident) that Kanye is not a huge fan of white people. I would not call Kanye a racist but he is an extremely proud black person, there’s nothing wrong with being proud, but sometimes it is to the point that he overlooks the good qualities in white people. That is where people may get the perception that he is a racist. Kanye West is a fucking douchebag. I never liked his music before, but NOW I have lost all respect for him. He's a conceited, arrogant ass-hole with a "Holier than thou" attitude about his music and himself. He thinks he fucking rules the world. Now, I never like Rap or Hip-Hop, BUT I am NOT hating on it, if you like it then that is just fine, but to me his music gets about a 0.01 on a scale of 100.
I'm not a fan of Country either, but what he did to Taylor on her big night was fucking ignorant and terribly inappropriate. Taylor seems like a very sweet girl and she did NOT deserve that jack-ass jumping in and stealing the spotlight.
Lets look at a reverse of the situation. What if it had been Kanye accepting an award and Taylor had jumped in instead. Do you think he would have taken it with a sense of diligence? Hell no. He would have had a fit (which he is notorious for) and be an ass about it (Even if he is an ass already).
So bottom line, Taylor didn't deserve that kind of debauchery, and Kanye is a self-centered douchbag.

I think it is fair to say, that Kanye intentionally caused controversy and at the same time grabbing attention for himself. He wanted some spotlight and he saw his opportunity to provoke a scenario. Like or dislike Kanye, he sure likes mixing things up.

First of all let me say that I am not trying to stand up for Kanye because he was completely in the wrong for what he did. He was completely rude and embarrased Taylor Swift. I never liked him as a person but I have always enjoyed his music and always will, say what you want I dont care. You don't have to like someone personally to like their music. I don't know why so many people were shocked by this. This wasn't the first time he has interrupted someone or said something rude or ignorant. Some are saying it's because she's a little white girl. Why do they have to play the race card? Why?? And she's not a little girl, she's 19 almost 20. I'm 19 and definitely not a child. If I were her and he did that to me I would have snatched the microphone back, pushed him off the stage, and gone ahead with my speech. That just goes to show that she's the type of person to let people walk all over her. I'm not a fan of her music but she did not deserve to be treated that way. Her music video was cute and was a catchy little song but I don't think she should have won. Anyone else in that category was better in my opinion. For those bashing Beyonce need to go take a hike. She is a beautiful, talented, classy lady who deserves the upmost respect. She was just as disgusted with Kanye as everyone else. And last thing, to all the people making all these racist comments its just ridiculous. Yes Kanye was wrong and is a jerk but you are just as much wrong for calling him the n word and telling him to drop dead, its not that serious. Get over it and get a life!!!

I am personally a fan of taylor swift and beyonce.
I love taylor and have every song she has.
I think she is so cute and love all of her videos.
Beyonce is amazing and i have loved her forever and I think she is amazing at dancing.
When i heard about this i thought Kanye west was a total douche bag, which he is.
I think they both had amazing videos and kanye had absoultly no right to go up there and completly embarass Taylor.

Beyonce did an amazingly nice thing and there was no way she could have known what was about to happen.
I think this just proves what a complete dick Kaye is and that is the last time i ever listen to his music again.
