Well, I don't think he is nearly as polarizing as people try to make him out to be (not sure what "polorizing" is). Try to explain why Adam Lambert's studio versions sell more than twice as many downloads than anyone else on the show? People may post negatively about someone they don't like, but they certainly don't pay for their music if they truly can't stand them.

Also, from a singing standpoint, Lambert is not shrieking. Melismatic flourishes in the upper register are not shrieking. That is what a high note sounds like when it's projected from the chest and diaphragm, not sung in falsetto. I know it's hard to tell when most singers can barely hit a high note and project it above a crackling whisper (a la Kris Allen who could not project anything above his half-octave range to an audience three feet away without a microphone if his life depended on it).

Using Twitter's Twist application, a predictive model based on systematic deviations in Twitter mentions from established baselines can be generated . The statistical model I constructed this morning (fun over coffee) predicted the bottom three with only one miss over the last four eliminations (Lil instead of Megan on April Fools). The prediction for tonight's elimination is no shocker. It predicts Kris, Allison, and Matt as the bottom three, with Allison and Matt as the bottom two. Allison and Matt are much too close to call for elimination based on the model though. There is a very small probability that Danny will take the three-spot instead of Kris. Fun with statistics!

Why do we bother wasting these next few weeks on American Idol, we already know Adam Lambert is the judges' favorite. My opinion, Adam should be a fashion model. I love his make-up, clothes and hair. He would have my vote on American Next Top Model.

I remember when Survivor supposedly had a "glitch" in ABC's website and the winner was accidentally leaked. That was certainly a ploy to attract more attention to the website. This seems more plausible as a true leak, but I'm still skeptical.

The circle of Idol watchers I know replaced Danny with Kris on their favorites list weeks ago. Danny has proven to be uninteresting and unversatile. Kris is not only the kind of music America would really love, but he has a diverse range of musical ability.

Adam - I don't think the Twitter trending takes into account the number of "Adam Lambert Sucks" posts there are. He is very polorizing, which creates mentions -- but not always good ones.

You either love him or, as I do, hate his whiney squealing.

It's definitely hard to tell via iTunes downloads. Just because someone downloads a song they happen to like, that doens't mean it compelled them to call and vote. I DLed almost all of David Cook's tracks last year and Daughtry's a few years ago--- I don't think I ever picked up the phone

On the flip side, I think Adam is immensely talented but it's not my style so I wouldn't download his music and listen to it on the way to work (although his Mick Jagger shriek would be more eye-opening than my coffee) but I think he is the most taleneted and should win.

Same goes for Twitter. Just because someone is talking about the contestant doesn't mean they like them enough to vote. They could all be typing "Adam Lambert sucked tonight. What was up with his hair"

I'm a fan of Kris Allen! He has really been stepping up his game while Danny Gokey has just been more of the same each week! Simon may have been right though when he said Kris brought out his wife to early in the season. At least having more than just two strong contenders makes for a more interesting season!
