Sharing/posting interesting snippets of the song (could be tricky from the legal angle, with labels not being wiling to experiment)...

I definitely think that sharing feature needs to be tied to the action of consuming music, not browsing/buying in the iTunes store.

Also, sharing reviews in the iTuness Store (this is not only for the music, but anything available through the store). If I reviewed an app I like, it would be nice that my review is pushed to Facebook with the link to the app in iTunes store.

Re: iTunes + Facebook + Twitter: Just the Beginning?

The tweet post looks a bit boring. it would be much nicer if we can tweet what's currently playing on our playlist, then have that link to the iTunes store.

Re: iTunes + Facebook + Twitter: Just the Beginning?

I already use Spotify more than I use iTunes. At work I don't have any music program installed apart from Spotify and at home I tend to use iTunes only for the stuff that isn't on Spotify - like live bootlegs, and rare remixes, etc. Get that onto Spotify and I see the reasons to use iTunes (or similar) dropping.

Re: iTunes + Facebook + Twitter: Just the Beginning?

Well.. does not seem to me such a big new thing or what an experiment...On Songbird is already possible since a year or so...

Re: iTunes + Facebook + Twitter: Just the Beginning?

no playlist integration... /me disappointed :(

Re: iTunes + Facebook + Twitter: Just the Beginning?

eMusic.com has been letting people share purchases and recommendations on Facebook for a while. If so, I guess it's a nice feature, but one I won't take the extra effort to use. Why is it better than how I tweet music today? And I wouldn't feel right selling compressed, DRM music on Apple's behalf to my friends.

Re: iTunes + Facebook + Twitter: Just the Beginning?

You mean Lala?

Re: iTunes + Facebook + Twitter: Just the Beginning?

No, you think you can advertise your shit.

Re: iTunes + Facebook + Twitter: Just the Beginning?

You could even get social with it by integrating the bad ass features of last.fm, such as song suggestion and genre specific stations. You could almost create a completely new social network based upon the music that you have in your library. Another cool feature that would be good for iTunes is something like what Songbird does and that is the concert notifier. You input your geographic location and willingness to travel, could even be for each band (ie I would drive 100 miles to see Jason Mraz, whereas I would drive 400 miles to see NOFX) and integrate notifiers into your network.

Re: iTunes + Facebook + Twitter: Just the Beginning?

Lame.

Re: iTunes + Facebook + Twitter: Just the Beginning?

How about if there were a paid service (depending on music library size) that would host your library so that you could have access, anywhere anytime and essentially replace last.fm.
