Now it is filled with everything! I have had no problem syncing, but since I'm so new to the computer world, I sync one thing at a time. Things I don't need immediately I do the next night! It doesn't take long to sync seperately because each sync is so much faster than what had been described in other blogs. I really hope my lack of knowledge and simplicity helps someone!

Re: iPhone and Windows 7 Don’t Play Nice, No Fix in Sight

Not just an Apple thing – Chipset may have core issues! O.K., I’m one of those rare individuals who actually owns a Zune. The Zune 30 causes VERY slow POST and performance problems if booted with the Zune device connected; then Once in Windows 7, 2D graphics benchmark unusually fast, but system is unstable and slow.
http://www.articlesbase.com...

Re: iPhone and Windows 7 Don’t Play Nice, No Fix in Sight

Apple Support over the phone fixed the issue of iPhone 3GS not being recognised on my new Dell Windows 7 machine with a Intel P55 chipset. It took 2 hours but now the iPhone is recognised in the devices section of iTunes when I plug it into a USB port. Apple sressed there could be several issues but in my case, the USB driver for Apple Mobile Devices needed to be reinstalled using the "update driver" facility in Windows 7 ( Windows button - Control Panel - Hardware & Sound - Devices - Apple iPhone section - update driver manually - c:\Program files\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\Drivers ). I can confirm in my experience that the P55 chipset is NOT a problem. The support issue is one for Apple and NOT Microsoft or the Hardware manufacturer of your computer since other USB devices work fine. I am very happy with the telephone support provided by Apple in fixing this issue for me.

Re: iPhone and Windows 7 Don’t Play Nice, No Fix in Sight

Yeah I am facing this problem on my itouch (G1). First time I connect it has no prob with sync. Connect again without closing itunes. It doesn't sync.. aftersome time Itune hangs..

All I do is restart iTunes and connect ipod again..

Re: iPhone and Windows 7 Don’t Play Nice, No Fix in Sight

Btw leave it plugged it and reboot twice and windows will recognize
the phone. It's all about USB power managment (reason for failure to
re install operating system on phone) and windows falsly identifying
the phone as anerther device. Now go fuck yourself. :).

Re: iPhone and Windows 7 Don’t Play Nice, No Fix in Sight

Sure thing dick

Re: iPhone and Windows 7 Don’t Play Nice, No Fix in Sight

how does that have to do with anything?

Re: iPhone and Windows 7 Don’t Play Nice, No Fix in Sight

same with me
my iPhone 3GS can't connect to itunes 9

I have an BIOSTAR TA790GX Motherboard with an AMD PHENOM II X3 720 and Windows 7 Ultimate (x86).

My iPhone's firmware version is 3.1.2 (jailBroken)

what should i do ?_?

Re: iPhone and Windows 7 Don’t Play Nice, No Fix in Sight

Haha.

Only the title is misleading! However, in my context it's the connection between outlook and iTunes which does not work (Win7 x64, Outlook 2003). The problem is related to my outlook profile which uses an exchange-account. When I create a new mail-profile using a pop-account, it seems to work.
More details:
With the exchange account the OutlookSyncClient.exe crashes, as soon as I open the Info Tab of my iPhone in iTunes. This crash is "silent", which means I don't get an error dialog. The only trace I found was in the event log:

Information:
Fault bucket 1454186215, type 1
Event Name: APPCRASH
Response: Not available
Cab Id: 0

Problem signature:
P1: OutlookSyncClient.exe
P2: 8.4.0.0
P3: 4a820691
P4: ntdll.dll
P5: 6.1.7600.16385
P6: 4a5bdb3b
P7: c0000005
P8: 00038c39
P9:
P10:

Attached files:
C:\Users\sz\AppData\Local\Temp\WER1418.tmp.WERInternalMetadata.xml

These files may be available here:
C:\Users\sz\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\WER\ReportArchive\AppCrash_OutlookSyncClien_f7d9be23adc98b2d7c6bd86b9b9e13213eb18d_2b86161b

Analysis symbol:
Rechecking for solution: 0
Report Id: 512b7288-df93-11de-8dcb-bb55aa6c0514
Report Status: 0

Error:
Faulting application name: OutlookSyncClient.exe, version: 8.4.0.0, time stamp: 0x4a820691
Faulting module name: ntdll.dll, version: 6.1.7600.16385, time stamp: 0x4a5bdb3b
Exception code: 0xc0000005
Fault offset: 0x00038c39
Faulting process id: 0x1840
Faulting application start time: 0x01ca73a00e94af42
Faulting application path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\bin\OutlookSyncClient.exe
Faulting module path: C:\Windows\SysWOW64\ntdll.dll
Report Id: 512b7288-df93-11de-8dcb-bb55aa6c0514
