OrganicJar.com is a great site I follow for health news (among many others).

This is so true. Connecting with others with similar goals, forming a virtual support group, and tracking your progress all lead to achieving milestones - whether it be in health, your career, and several other facets of your life. I use Twitter on my webtop (my personal desktop online) and have tweeted several times about my progress with a personal project. It keeps me on task, makes me accountable, and let's others join in my success!

This is right but before some days 1 newspaper wrote that using facebook type social site is dangerous for health.
    Is't right?

Good. But... I've been invited for a lecture about using Google in Healthcare and Medicine at a University hospital in Northern Italy. Having read my abstract and slides, the scientific committee asked my to cancel any comment about Web 2.0 and social networking: doctors and nurses are not allowed to connnect to Facebook or YouTube... Can you believe it?

Indeed a good article to a healthy body!

This has to be a joke. My daughter is autistic and as I'm sure most people know some idiots with autistic kids think vaccines cause autism. They support their beliefs by googling crazy doctors with realistic sounding qualifications. One 'doctor' I know of thinks exorcism can cure autism. I kid you not.

Seriously people, get your medicine and health info from a doctor. Not a website.

To be honest, wouldn't the best way to get better health be switching off the computer and going outside for some fresh air?

    Just sayin'.

Nice article Ben. Your readers should also be aware that there are several online health support groups, like Healia Communities, that may be helpful to people looking for online personal support or answers to health questions.

I own a personal training business and although the prospect of using technology to further advance your fitness goals sounds great, it usually falls flat on its face most of the time.

Most of my clients rarely participate in social groups, twitter, apps, etc. designed to help them. In fact, they still prefer the old school method of me coming to their home and kicking their ass from one side of the living room to the other.

If anyone has had success motivating others via technology, get in touch... I'd like to hear your story.

This is very smart. If people will be honest with themselves and with their network, it would be a great support for helping people that are leaving alcohol and drug treatment to create a network that can keep the members in line, so to speak. I am going to take this idea to some of the treatment centers where I have influence. www.drug-rehab-colorado.com

I agree that there's loads of misinformation as well as useful info on the web especially when it comes to proper exercise methods. Researching and looking around will get you to the useful video or instructional sites out there.
