Mashable - The Social Media Guide: HOW TO: Juice Up Firefox with Amazon, Google and Twitter

  • AlexS77 · 6 months ago
The link http://getjuice.com/ is invalid - it points to a domain squatter. The URL shown on https://addons.mozilla.org/de/firefox/addon/9488 points to http://juiceapp.com/.

Correct URL is GrabJuice.com. Fixed, thx.

Juice is pretty cool, but Flock has been doing this kinda thing for a while. Admittedly, Amazon and Last.fm aren't in flock, but they could be with relative ease. Flock's side panel is also much more intuitve, takes up less room and more integrated than Juice.

very useful for those who practically 'live in the internet'. Like me. Juice is good at making great accesibility and function. highly recommended.

Does this work together with Drag & Dropzones add-on?
  • AlexS77 · 6 months ago
Alright, I have it installed and now have it deinstalled already again. It only supports english wikipedia and 1.0 doesn't even install on Firefox 3.0.10 (called GranParadiso on ArchLinux).

Especially the fact that it only supports EN language is a killer for me. It has potential, but isn't quite that interesting.

The funny thing is Juice brought up the trailer for Mission Impossible I, not for "Mission Impossible III", the text that was selected by the user. Fail.

You guys make Juice sound cooler than it is. Though it is pretty convenient for those who practically live in the Internet, yet know very little, because Juice can give you only very basic info and, as AlexS77 pointed out, only in English. That only will put a lot of people off it.

Reads like an advertisement, not like an informational post. Strange.

http://www.findatweeter.com is cool. This is another goofy FF plugin that does nothing new. IMHO.

Thanks for the post, though. Very useful.

I just added "Juice" by downloading it from Firefox's add-on page. With this add-on I do not have to worry about the pull down search bar that already comes with Firefox because this is an all-in-one feature.

I was going to ask what makes this so different from Flock.

How does Juice compare to WebMynd or Zemanta add-ons? I've been using WebMynd for a few weeks now and, although a bit overwellming at times, I really like all the extra info that it provides me to my searches.
