Great! I will definitely try this out. I was erroneously suspended from Twitter recently and it took 11 days to get it sorted out. In the mean time, I was lost without my Twitter list.

I use DropBox (http://getdropbox.com) to backup my files because it lets me keep a copy on my laptop and on their servers. I use http://tweetake.com/ once a month to grab all my tweets and save them off to a DropBox folder so they'll be backed up. All my Flickr photos are in my DropBox folders before they even get uploaded to Flickr, so I have a backup of everything I need except for Facebook.

Pfft, this is rubbish. I wrote a program to back up your Tweets months ago, as well as a program to search your Tweets or the Tweets of any user who you are able to see the feed of, and I let it out for FREE.

Just you cannot search for twits older than 14 days. That was previously possible, and now this is a service that is lacking.

you can if you use http://search.twitter.com and then add from:yourtwittername and what you are searching for e.g. "from:Ajit prize" (without the apostrophs).. this also works for any other user that appears on the search

I would be very careful about using Lifestream if you want ANY kind of assurance. Just take a look at their Terms of Service and you won't sleep any better. You pay for the service yet there's the following term: "Company, in its sole discretion, has the right to suspend or terminate your account and refuse any and all current or future use of the Service, or any other Company service, FOR ANY REASON AT ANY TIME."

I think my data is safer with Flickr or Wordpress. Get real, why would anyone pay you and get NO assurance whatsoever from it.

I can't imagine that anyone reads past the first page or two of someones tweets very often. Facebook, Gmail, and Youtube backups would be nice though.

What if "Lifestream Backup" loses my data? (hackers, downtime, and errors happen all the time!)

The best thing would be, if "Lifestream Backup" can give me an offline copy of all the data it has backed-up.

Backing up social media is extremely important however I'm not sure I can afford to pay a monthly fee for this type of service. I'm sure there is a "cheaper" way to save social media connections.

this seems a critical question as it doesn't do anybody any good to have a backup of their Tweets if you don't know the process to restore them
