Mashable - The Social Media Guide: Hot or Not Live: This Could Get Ugly

  • Sunny Singh · 4 months ago
It's just one of those Facebook type apps that the owner will be lucky that you use, but then you're never really gonna come back to unless it's some type of quiz thing that you can take over and over with new quizzes.

Personally, I think it's great that sites like these exist but not something that's even worth visiting for me, considering I don't even use or go to Justin.TV, mostly ustream, mogulus, etc. Nice idea though and cool job on the site.

If only ustream and mogulus had interested users and a free API, you'd be seeing the same sort of things from them. Justin.tv has been smart and innovated enough to provide a free API for everyone to use, and its loyal user base is taking full advantage.

    LOL. OMW...

I'm sorry but it's irresponsible from their part to go live without a robust security protection for children. The mere name already tells you that it's an adult site. I hope he would have taken two days (instead of one) to take care of the security aspect.

This could get interesting... and if a picture speaks a thousand words... what about a video?

Great move Chris. I've been using Disqus for a long time now and it only gets better with time. Daniel Ha and crew keep adding more social goodness to it like Friendfeed and twitter integration plus much much more.

I love that I don't even have to login now to comment on here which only encourages people to comment more often. Yea, I know it doesn't take long to enter a name, password and website but every second and every click counts when you go to many blogs to comment.

Did you really just encourage people to "hurry up" and rate the underage girls before they take down the site?

Sounds like a lawsuit waiting to happen. And I personally hope it does to teach the site owner a thing or two.

I think this is honestly more of a PR thing than a serious website. Clever too, it's not going to last but the added traffic and exposure will be more than worth it.

I guess I should just be grateful there's no video of me there. :-)

This is a great piece. Very thought provoking. I like the sort of ending that leaves it opn to personal input. Makes it work for just about everyone I think. Nicely done! I’ll subscribe.

    Utterly ridiculous.
