I found myself voting for Yahoo on pure results most of the time. But in user friendliness I wouldn't drop google for yahoo.
SO it looks like Microsoft made a good move, as there appears to be room for multiple search engines.
If I go to Yahoo's website to search, I use http://search.yahoo.com/ rather than the Yahoo home page. It's a minimal interface more like Google.
While I chose Yahoo most of the time in the blind search, I do understand how user-interface if very important. I score Bing very high in this area. I like the little previews of content, the related links in the sidebar, etc.
results by video, blog, images and by date of result match. I also am a big
fan of the wonder wheel for free keyword research. Those are my user
friendly favs in google.

- When I searched for 'Google Sucks' (sans quotes) I ended up clicking on Yahoo's result.
- When I searched for 'Yahoo Sucks' (sans quotes) I ended up clicking on Google's result.
- When I searched for 'Bing sucks' (sans quotes) on my huge surprise I ended up clicking on Bing's result!
But, when I searched for more technical (meh, just say geeky) terms like, 'how to install ubuntu', 'dpkg problems', 'twitter addiction' :P and several others, I never chose Bing, I chose Yahoo! over Google with 4 over 3.
Bing isn't that bad I even thought that it was better than Yahoo, but these results ended up showing my real search preferences... :P
Just like Miguel said, the comparison doesn't take user experience into account. Bing wins hands down on that, especially on the image and video searches. It's a MUCH better search experience than Google's regardless of the accuracy of the results.
Interesting.
1. Doesn't take the User Experience into account at all.
2. Most people running the searches are Technical / SEO people that is not the typical user of the search engines.
I think those are two massive points. So while Bing in my opinion has by far the best user experience, and the best search site for mom and dad, high school students, parents, grandparents, and the general population, I still think Google returns search results that we have come to expect as technically savvy people.
Jury is still out.. going to be awesome to see the advancements in search now that there is competition again. Win or Lose, we will have Microsoft to thank for forcing Google to re-invest in their advertising heavy search engine.

I guess they just have considerably more experience.
On low value search terms I ended up voting Bing every time....

"Let's say I want to go Italy, so I type in: 'travel to Italy'. If I'm wanting to make decisions around that specific activity, then Bing is skipping a lot of initial steps and making assumptions. I might be a first time traveler. Bing knows at least where I'm from, in this case I'm in England, so that adds some geographic context to the mix. Yes, this context is reflected in the results, but not in how they're presented, which should be as a series of tasks related to making a decision.
As an example, in Europe, we need a EU (European Union) travel insurance card. It's not mandatory.
I can see a listing for the British Foreign Office (FCO), entitled: "Italy travel advice" so it would seem obvious to me to break this result out and give it special relevance, related to the activity of traveling to Italy.
Also, and obviously, I'd be needing flights, accommodation and transport to and from the airport, as well as exchange services for changing my money into Euros — none of these things are specifically grouped into categories, based around those very specific tasks."
This was just one example of how poor Bing is at actually helping me make an informed decision.
That's one factor that's not being internalized here - it's still biased.

Copyright is a legal concept, enacted by governments, giving the creator of an original work of authorship exclusive rights to it, usually for a limited time, after which the work enters the public domain. Generally, it is "the right to copy", but also gives the copyright holder the right to be credited for the work, to determine who may adapt the work to other forms, who may perform the work, who may financially benefit from it, and other, related rights. It is an intellectual property form (like the patent, the trademark, and the trade secret) applicable to any expressible form of an idea or information that is substantive and discrete. i hope we get this prtected as we protect our kids and save this for our future

On Google I get on average 3000 imprints every day. On Bing I got 5 during two days.
After lengthy phone calls with Bing, I get the first explanation: Bing does not have enough searches for my keywords so my add will not show up. When I explain that if I search myself I get 5 imprints from other websites, nothing from mine. The explanation now changes to "You did not enter a high enough amount for each click". To get trafic I have to offer $1.00 or more. The 0.10 that I offered was not enough.
I will stay with Google. What use is Bing if your add never shows up?
