No Mac version cause they are trying to kill IE....they don't care about killing Safari or FF.

    agreed chrome for macs
  • Bilal Jaffery · 2 months ago
No Mac because ROI isn't as high as having dedicated folks on PC platform. Once it gets stabilized, they will transport the code over to kill Safari. First enemy is Microsoft.

Yeah me too. It seems so bloody obvious I dont know why they haven't got Bookmarks sorted by now.
  • Hugo Aguilar · 2 months ago
I can't believe I still cannot add Google Bookmarks into Chrome. That's the only reason Chrome is not my default browser. I love chrome but I hate the fact that I cannot get to my favorite site without google bookmarks. anybody out there having the same issue?
  • Hector · 2 months ago
    I have the same problem...
  • iquanyin · 2 months ago
i have a mac, so must use the buggy dev version. and you know what? it's my main browser, bugs and all. it has themes (mashable's photo shows the theme i use! i've used ff, flock, camino, opera, and of course safari. chrome wins, even the dev build. i wish i could put it on my iphone.

Looks nice but I won't be running it till Google releases a decent version of Chrome for MAC. No intentions of downgrading to Windows 7!
  • Edwin Khodabakchian · 2 months ago
Ben: do you know if Chrome 3 includes support for extensions?
  • Brad F. · 2 months ago

  • Joseph Eon · 2 months ago
I love the addition of the themes. I use the "Earthy" one.
  • boydrewboy · 2 months ago
This is ridiculous. 3 versions in and there's still not even a browser for macs? I've been looking forward to running chrome on my mac since the first rumors of Chrome were flying around and I'm still waiting? I call BS
  • divilex · 2 months ago
Extensions/Add-ons and RSS support will be in version 4 of Google Chrome along with many other features/bug fixes. Work has been started on these features already, along with development builds for Google Chrome 4.0.

The lack of a Mac version is getting aggravating. I understand they want to focus on the PC/IE market but there's no reason that at least a basic version cannot be released for OSX. Just because we're a smaller market share doesn't mean it's okay to ignore us completely. 3 versions in and still nothing? Google's not winning me over here. The dev version is a little too complicated for an average Mac user to install.

Looks cool! I like Chrome, but favor FF. Best thing I like is the thumbnails of websites, but FF does similar with the fastdial.
  • dragonblogger · 2 months ago
I will have to download and check it out tonight.
  • Mark Cameron · 2 months ago
My hand up for the Mac version too. Would IE just die already.
  • Haris Dozz · 2 months ago

  • etorsten · 2 months ago
I would be interested to know the reason, why Google still lacks a non-dev. version of Chrome for Mac.
What are the real priorities for Chrome?
  • tamikacyrus · 2 months ago
I LOVE Chrome, but using it constantly lets portscan try attack my system, anyone know why?? (please do not say poor virus control loti) So i just use FF

Why would anyone still use IE?? It is so slooooooow. FF would be fine, but i like chromes address bar function where you only need to hit say f for facebook and enter and you have your page loaded in an instant, FF is still too slow and too many features just mimick IE.

Even though i do not use it atm, Google Chrome is by far the best browser

Google your Mac support sucks! That's pretty shameful for a multi-billion $$$$ company.
  • Estonian · 2 months ago

  • Ricardo Machado · 2 months ago
    The version 3.0 is buggy....

I've just made one thing sent an 'alertbox' in javascript and then tried to type something in a text box and started to change between pages.... :S

Its annoying that Google are adding all these custom themes and stuff (which I do welcome) and not focusing on simple improvements, like setting an image to a desktop BG by right clicking on it. ¬_¬

Chrome needs to fix errors before moving on. I keep getting "can't find server" errors. I get them even while loading Gmail. What is up with that?
