I believe the Google Maps Navigation App will put Driod at or above anything that the Iphone has to offer its user base. Pretty Amazing app. Kudos to Google for releasing on the new Droid phone for free.

This does look excellent, very impressed by the demo. Though they have only mentioned that it is available on the Andriod phones and will become available on the iPhone. Is there going to be a release for the Blackberry?!?!?!

As im due a new phone soon and would love to stick with the blackberry :)

It would be really interesting to incorporate elements of Google Social Search into it. For example, a feature that could be enabled (or turned off) that would indicate restaurants along your route that is rated highly or commented positively by people in your social network.

I can't wait until Google Maps starts incorporating 3rd party databases like red light cameras and speed camers. No big mapping company has done this well yet.

It's not only for Droid (yes it will be first phone to have 2.0) but wait until Jan/Feb when 2.0 is released for all Android OS Cell phones

There's nothing better than the iPhone interface, for sure!

I'm going to be trading my iPhone for a BlackBerry Tour and possibly getting an iPod touch for all the apps I've collected of the year or so, haha.

Don't get me wrong, I love the iPhone's software keyboard, however, nothing beats REAL keys when typing.

any preference? blackberry or iphone? i have an iphone and i'm thinking of switching to a blackberry or android because I want an actual keypad for easier typing..

but i'm so used to the iphone interface!

I hope they do some real-time alerts for traffic congestion and re-routes and also some expert learning and integration with Google Calender. Imagine if all the Bay Area commuters got an instant alert the Bay Bridge was shut this AM. What a difference it could make. The future is bright for Android.

That seems amazing to have Street View available for navigation. Pretty incredible when I think back a few years and having a flip phone was the height of technology!

Go Android! I'm thinking about switching to Android after switching back to a BlackBerry from the iPhone which replaced by BlackBerry which I switched to from a Windows Mobile device.
