A Class Action Lawsuit is the only thing they will understand here, and I am activly searching for a firm who will stand up against the red hair abomination.
They have the balls to suddenly refuse to allow anyone they choose to participate in the landrush auction for ME domains.
That's right, I work there, and have purchased at least 1 ME name during the landrush, May, June timeframe, along with may other coworkers there, and just last week they decided to refuse to let anyone there bid on them, even though they were legally paid for. No refund has been seen yet as they said all would get and if I still dont see it at the auction start time then they will get that lawsuit ramed up their tight snobby scottsdale asses in addition to harassment and any other employment related shyte that can be hammered to their cross. I plan on getting enough to retire on from the Parsons Project gang.

Yeah I used domainmonster to get a couple of mine. I actually ended up with about 12 including encyclopeda.me, torque.me, silverware.me and a few other ones in french like ordinateur.me (computer in french). But yeah as I was telling a friend of mine preparation is always key in stuff like this. Good luck to you next time!

It seems a company called Afilias somehow managed to get all the good domain names

Anyone know of a lawyer to represent those who were affected ?

www.lastminute.me has received 13 bids on .me domain auctions and the current highest bid is $3,605

There must be something that can be done about this!

I brought 6 great domain names via Godaddy including www.sail.me and www.defend.me I was so happy when I registered them, I got the confirmation email and was on cloud 9. I took my wife and kids out for lunch to celebrate.
Later that evening I checked my mail to find all 6 failed to register â€ Already registeredâ€ This is bullshit, how is it possible that one company was allowed to register all the good names?

I had following... AOL, FACEBOOK, PEPSI, TOYOTA, IPOD, IPHONE, XBOX, MATCH, VIEW, HUG, AND MANY MORE OF SAME QUALITY...SPENT $2000 ON DOMAINS...ALL GOT PAID FOR WITH CONFIRMATION RECIEPTS TO SHOW, KEPT SCREEN SHOTS, AND CONFIRM NUBERS... and then godaddy screws.me... they called me the next day to offer me a discount on my $6 per month server cost... I told them to call my lawyer... lets see what happens

I didn't get any of the short names but did grab a few real estate ones like www.findaho.me or www.californiaho.me and www.vailho.me . Who knows if those will be any good but real estate domains in the .com world became valued commodities. If you live in a hot market this might be one to get.

We understand you have concerns regarding the .ME registration process. We knew the .ME Open Registration response would be tremendous, but it went beyond even what we had expected. As a result, we experienced some system issues in our communication with the registry.

As soon as we became aware of the issue we began taking steps to correct it. It is now resolved. For our customers, if we did not successfully register the domain name requested they will receive a full refund.

Received "full" refund today from godaddy. Got 3 Out of 41 i apply for registration at July 17th 2008 15:00 UTC
It took 30 minute to process my order which interrupt few times. I hope it wont happen next Tlds golive. But for .me its gone!

The title is misleading. It leads you to believe that the the .me domains have failed (i.e were a dud) But instead there has been overwhelming response. Hence, it is not a fail but rather a success but to much of it.
