Mashable - The Social Media Guide: Fring Launches a Better Twitter Mobile Experience for non-iPhone Users

  • Gregg Smith · 8 months ago
    i have fring for my winmo blackjack II but it won't stay up in the background. i've looked at every setting. gtalk function for me is critical but fring won't cut it if i have to log in every 5 minutes (which takes 3 minutes). unless this changes with the new version, i'll stick with m.slandr.net. I'll give it a shot though.

    This is the exact application I've been waiting to see released, it's about time I stopped waiting around and ordered myself an iPhone!

    Especially for Windows Mobile there is a lot better Twitter Client, which you can check it out under http://code.google.com/p/pocketwit/ - has been my favorite mobile twitter client for quite some time now,

    another S60 Twitter client launched today too: Gravity

    http://mobileways.de/products/gravity/gravity/

    costs a couple of bucks, but is supposed to be brilliant. Worth a shot if you're having problems with Fring. (There is also the free Twibble too, which works brilliantly)

    I won't be using this because it's an Israeli product http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fring

    This would be great news for me if it worked on a blackberry.

    And when can a Android G1 user check that out ?

    Just to second the comment about Tiny Twitter, I've been using it on WM for ages and it works great.

    Unusably slow on Black Jack II, Windows Mobile 6.1 Standard, At&t. Gave it a two day shot. Uninstalled. Wasn't worth the time.

    Second recommendation on pocketwit. Installed instantly, usable instantly. Fun so far! (http://code.google.com/p/pocketwit/ )

    @Chris\\Das3Zehn Many Thanks!
