I like blogcatalog's lifestreaming because I can also make a widget to place on my blog of my recent activities.

    Hi, I'm LiFE2Front founder.

I'm afraid you wrote a mistake :o( LiFE2Front lifestream don't host user content and not provide to publish something by mail (yet)... Fully feed by Third Party API like Twitter, Flickr, blog feeds, etc, as FriendFeed.

In fact, LiFE2Front LiFEstream use 2 lifestreams on each profiles ; content stream (blog/photo/video/bookmark) and activity stream (songs listen, micro-blog updates, Duggs, used softwares).

Just wanted to pop in and say "thanks" for the mention of OneSwirl!

We've got some very different ideas coming out soon, so we'll be in touch!

I use MyBlogLog and BlogCatalog (almost) regularly...

When I started using MyBlogLog it was only to get my blog's stats and know what links my visitors were clicking on. Actually, I think that was the only services we were getting at the time anyway... Things have well changed since. :-)

Great article... I'll have a look at the other lifestreaming sites asap. Thanks for the info :-)

Why did you miss lifestrea.ms? They were one of the first apps out there and they are loaded with features the competitors do not have yet. Anyway, they're still in private beta.

    Quoted from Bob Stumpel (http://bobstumpel.blogspot.com/2008/01/lifestre...

This site has the highest cool factor I've seen in ages. Offering a dashboard to an aggregate of your whole online "social", "2.0" existence. I particularly like the editable automated "me" search feature, enabling users to weed out "ugly" search results - a great way to manage your online reputation. They're fully interoperable with some of the most relevant other social media. Their API is super open, and of course they support data portability.

I've been hacking together some Greasemonkey scripts to add more features to Friend Feed. The better Twitter integration mashup is pretty good, as it lets you use Friend Feed as your Twitter client without going back and forth.

What's with the microformats logo in your "lifestreaming services" image?
  • secondbrain · 1 year ago
Would be cool to see http://secondbrain.com on this list. We're different than the rest of the bunch in that we aggregate everything into a personal content library.

The problematic thing about all of these lifestream services is that it doesn't pull private content, unlike 8hands which delivers private msgs as well.

I'm leaning towards the more extensive service of Profilactic...
