That is the flag we acknowledge, the new one with 8 stars is yet another symbol of Chavez will to change our essence, to impose his vision. He also changed the NationalCrest, the name of the country (Republica Bolivariana de Venezuela) and he is even talking about changing the lyrics of our National Anthem. The Flag Mashable put is OUR FLAG! Bravo Mashable!.
Thanks for the exposure but please get your facts right:
Chavez has not been closing down radions: We ordered the shutdown of 34 radios and they were closed. That is it. You can find the full list here:
http://werebuild.eu/wiki/index.php/!target_Vene...
Government officials confirm that UnionRadio will be closed this week.
More than 200 radio and tv stations are scheduled to be closed.
Chavez, via "El Oriente" called the people using Twitter "ultra right wing cyber terrorists" and also says that Facebook and Twitter (among others) are new ways of "creating terror".
Reliable non biased news source on Twitter are @A4F and @Telecomix that are working closely with people in Venezuela.
I am sure they will be more than welcome to help you inform your readers in the best and more accurate way with the latest information.
Mashable being all about Social Media should also have a social responsability. in supporting people around the world that are fihghting, in a non violent way, for Freedom of Speech.
Cheers,
Fernando

#FreeMediaVe his has been a top ten Twibbon trend for some time now. It's great that Twitter users are using platforms like Twibbon to show their discontent over issues regarding free speech.
You can still show your appreciation for this important cause at http://twibbon com.
Link to the cause itself is http://twibbon.com/join/FreeMediaVE.
Thanks,
The Twibbon Team
