  • g. dewald · 10 months ago
My firm does a lot of real estate web design/development. I've put together a Twitter resource that includes, among other things, a list of articles about real estate Twitter users. It includes some directory-based options as well as a few curated ones.

I do host several of those german lists as well as collect links to such list under http://mit140zeichen.de/uebersicht-twitterverze... including top german users, german politicans, PR and communication twitterers as they are also mentioned in my twitter book.

yes it is not as nice as having a dedicated directory, but honestly often they are just that: directories without a lot of additional functionality. My politician list is sorted by party and if it is state or local, the PR list most likely will be done by town or company soon. The reaction of the readers usually goes to specific demands per category which also change quite a lot over time.

my suggestion is to collect them and grow with user demands on them. and dont get discouraged when for example you do a list for politicians and the guys are too stupid to add themselves to your list.

At the end of last year I created Omnee, the first organic directory for Twitter which you can control directly via your tweets. Omnee gives users the freedom of (de-)tagging themselves and being automatically added to the directory. Even cooler features include integration with Twinfluence and Retweetrank so that users are automatically ranked using an innovative 3D hybrid ratings system. This also combines manual user-supplied ratings for each tag. I've now also implemented Facebook Connect which I hope to exploit with another application, Friend Statistics, which I have created for Facebook. Would've been nice to have received a mention, Omnee is big in the healthcare market, but hey you can't have everything.

I appreciate your honest review of our site. We are working on improved navigation, especially to cover exactly what you've mentioned - A better 'birds eye' view of all the applications.
