http://TwitDoc.com is a much better service to share your documents on twitter. It works with the Scribd iPaper viewer. It is fast and easy and you do not have to download any files to your computer. It is one-click and view the contents.

I am shocked and amazed around every corner at how amazing our technology is and the creative ways it is being used. Social media is being used to save lives (#Eric). With file sharing, it means that very personal articles can be shared with ease without having to have it officially posted on a website or blog.
Also, think about how awesome it is for the countless thousands of recently "jobless" to be able to post their resumes and make contacts while sharing their credentials. Very exciting. Thanks for keeping us up to date!
Is there nothing that cannot be done with Twitter? The possibilities are endless.

in my mind they both fail. another twitter app without oauth integration. great ideas, but their extremely hindering themselves in my opinion. same goes for twitdoc as mentioned above.
i never start development on a new twitter app without first integrating twitter oauth.

This is nothing new, file sharing has been around for a while on Twitter with tweet.io the makers of drop.io......
not all emailers allow 20mb attachments so it will be nice for this use, also a way to get others who are still kicking and screaming about "i don't get twitter" and won't even bother to get an account... to have a reason to get them on :)

Ask for Twitter password is insecure and old, so I prefer Filesocial (dot com) because with the same capacity, they have a Twitter Oauth login, safest.
I stopped posting about Twitter apps that asks for password months ago.

@Jonathan : We are not going anywhere with the twitter passwords.Take my home address if you doubt filetwt's credibility , but if a sizable fraction of twitter users ask for Oauth integration , we will be happy to oblige.
@Neil : We are planning to host our own files , so you may be interested to use the service in a couple of week's time.
This file sharing service has been created solely to cater the twitter community and we will add every possible functionality to achieve the same.

Those fearful of twitter worms are totally right. A site that has your login/pw can so easily post, @, and DM every one of your follows/followered with the same thing... Esp. with link masking.
This is to announce that we will be getting rid of rapidshare and launching direct downloads by tomorrow morning.
We will be hosting files on our own servers , so no waiting anymore for downloads.
Also we will be adding features such as re-tweeting about files , comments on uploads , rating system and much more.

About the oauth thing guys, we'll look into it if there is demand for that feature, but rest assured our database is secure and we will be adding an SSL certificate in the up coming weeks. We don't want to use your Twitter account, we just want you to use our service.

I saw that http://MyOtherDrive.com was allowing you to share with friends and your twitter account, too. Its hard to say where this will all go in the next year, but sharing files publicly and tweeting have become very big these days.

This raises again concerns about privacy.. and the 20MB limit is not pleasant at all... why not use traditional filesharing services like www.ravishare.com, where you can upload files of up to 300MB for free and share the link anonymously via Twitter without entering your password?
