  • Alex Day · 5 months ago
some people are saying this could be an honest mistake - mispelling of "alan"
  • Stan_Schroeder · 5 months ago
If so, it's a *very* unfortunate spelling mistake (:
  • zafarali · 5 months ago
    very very very very unfortunate
  • Jorge Vila Boa · 5 months ago

  • Elidet · 5 months ago

  • Shekhar Sahu · 5 months ago
There was a URL by some girl like default.aspx
    That was intelligent!
  • Pan Silverstone · 5 months ago
hahahahah I guess it's the same for these poor girls: http://www.facebook.com/suckdick -
    - http://www.facebook.com/I.am.a.Slut .... and this poor guy: http://www.facebook.com/isuckcock
  • tekunik · 5 months ago
I don't think any social network is allowing to reset the vanity URL at present .If FB does allow then it'll set a trend for others to follow .But did FB not think about it b4?

  • nullvariable · 5 months ago
she's in high school still...wouldn't surprise me that a classmate would think it's funny to pull something like that. Or a vindictive ex
  • Anxuna · 5 months ago
I hope,it's an unfortunate spelling mistake
  • Joe · 5 months ago

  • Σχολή Χορού · 5 months ago
Well ... could be worse but still an embarrassment.
  • Les · 5 months ago
I sent her a message. Hope she gets it. Shame on you if you didn't have the courtesy to contact her and give her a heads up.
  • Dustin Coates · 5 months ago
I'm calling this fake. It's obvious, isn't it? Look at the conversation. The guy is posting on her wall and she has no idea who he is. You've got to be friends with someone to post on their well. C'mon, we all know that.

And it's suspicious that you can't see how many friends she is, isn't it?
  • shane · 5 months ago
actually (being the one who had this conversation last night and am amazed at how crazyily it spread) this isn't written on her wall, its just a conversation. You can send messages to anyone on facebook.

it's regrettable you used a high school junior's page as the example for this post, which has now been RT-ed far too many times. while ppl may think they're being helpful sending her all those messages, imagine her embarrassment at having her picture flashed all over the world (i'm typing this from new zealand) combined with the error, whether her own accident or someone's very mean-spirited "prank", and an in-box full of "guess what?" emails. the right thing to do would have been to have used an adult's page - it appears there's plenty. if not that, then you should have had the courtesy to give her a head's up so she could have deleted her page before the whole world (and presumably, her high school class) got a look at her face.
  • shane · 5 months ago
I didn't know there were other examples of this. I actually didn't pay attention to any of her information. I definitely agree that it got out of hand very quickly, but that just shows the scope of perception. I failed to recognize that people would take it to revealing her name and ridiculing HER about it. I actually sent a few more more messages than whats shown in the picture, suggesting ways that she could look at her address bar and see that it was her username, and tried to be helpful.

Now on the one side I definitely recognize and agree that it went too far, but i hope you realize that I did not do anything to intentionally harm her reputation. to be quite honest, since her url is i.love.anal I didn't even know they would both direct to the same place.
  • Shaun Dunne · 5 months ago
Having her picture flashed all over the world is the price you pay for owning a facebook and uploading pictures.

How big deal it is for FB to give a changeable vanity URL.. twitter has it... Linkedin has it... WTF is wrong with FB!
  • iTbay · 5 months ago
perfect vanity for Perez Hilton - the one I call Mugatu http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lAaFsAGCbig
  • Aleksandre Asatiani · 5 months ago
I think facebook should allow people to change usernames, at least upon request. I suspect this anal loving girl is not the only one with that kind of "problem"
  • Phil · 5 months ago
relax you're all giving her a hard time just because she likes anal. That's not fairl :(
  • Produle · 5 months ago
facebook should have done in this first place
  • Zack Struver · 5 months ago
    They took that one down.
  • Meme · 5 months ago
The vanity url was erased between 5am this morning and 8, because I stumbled this to friends and only 2 were able to see the vanity url.
  • zafarali · 5 months ago
Facebook will and should eventually offer a url reset. just like twitter which changes your username too. fortunately facebook uses real names thus making username changes less destructive. In twitter you loose all ur @replies
  • jithinkr · 5 months ago
Didn't face book let Darren Rowse, author of problogger blog, have his vanity url reset to facebook.com/problogger. I think during the rush, /problogger was taken by someone else. Later on Darren talked to the person and had his vanity url change. So the other person also got an opportunity to reset his facebook vanity url.

Facebook URL is quite good, But if someone takes your name already then it may difficult to choose unique URL for your choice. Thanks for this info
  • Lindsay · 5 months ago
My name is very common and inevitably taken as a vanity url choice... went with http://facebook.com/thereallindsaylewis
