Very sluggish recently. Pics don't always load. Updates show up and vanish, don't show in my newsfeed, etc. Feels like overcapacity AND inconsistency in their data replication system.

Facebook has been slow, chat is sometimes unbearable.......the apps aren't working correctly many times either. It is starting to get really annoying!

very slow, a lot of the time I just give up doing anything on the site because it's just not worth how slow it is. I can't do what I want because the site is so unresponsive.

Very slow to completely unresponsive at time. Quite annoying. I can see (3) "inboxes", and have been unable to open them for the last week. If the fluke is due to current upgrading or re-building of the website, it would be very helpful to have been warned prior to the incident. And if the issue was anticipated, a help forum would also have been on my "LIST OF THINGS TO GET OUT TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC"

Its completely dead !! After slowing down to a stand still over the last week, I can't even get the damn log in page now. Been trying all day. RIP Facebook !!!

For at least a week Facebook has been very slow and unresponsive. Maybe users should start to look for another network. It's a great social network when available and reliable but a very stressful network when running as it is the last week or two.

Facebook is pretty much non-responsive over the the last few weeks...especially gaming. I have cable internet and it should not be this slow. Other website respond quicker.

I have been barely able to get the Facebook to react since beginning of this week, opening messages or links from notifications just doesnt respond at all. All other websites are fine, just facebook is not happening. I don't have many apps on mine at all.
However, I am using Firefox 3.5 and it seems to be working fine on Internet Explorer for some reason as I just tried. SO maybe Facebook is conflicting with latest Firefox??

Slow facebook = fewer pages server per minute = fewer ad impression opportunities = less ad money for facebook.

I can't believe they aren't all over this, trying to fix it. Money is leaking down the drain by it being so slow.

It's very strange.... firefox should be a faster browser... but when running facebook it is 500x slower i dont know why

I recently bought a brand new computer. I was anxious to try it out and see how fast it runs. So i go to facebook and go to one of my comments, and nothing happens i will literally sit there for like 10 minutes just trying to open something up. My friend is sitting right next to me right now on his computer on his facebook typing away, while im stuck her like an asshole with a slow face book. Its been like this for like 2 week's God this is pissing me off

I have been a facebook user for some time but am getting fed up, frustrated, irritated and generally have had enough of its slow functionality, its constant error messages ('we are trying to fix this - try again) and its unreliability. What I get even more annoyed about is the lack of immediate contact to make a strong complaint about it - where is the email us direct option? I will persevere a little longer but I'm not the only one who is fed up and thinking of closing my account.

Hi, I am on holiday in france for the moment and I notice that Facebook is extremely slow. IT's got nothing to do with the internet connection as other sites are perfectly fine, like youtube for instance. I'm somehow relieved to read things on slow facebook on the web as I thought it was either my computer or the slow connection. It's now impossible for me to even upload holiday pictures. To update my status seems to take forever. No clue what's going on.

Yes, FB has been VERY SLOW for a few weeks now. I am thinking it MIGHT be related to a recent FF (firefox) upgrade perhaps (FF3.0.11). But, I also noticed that FB did not allow me to post to my wall for awhile a couple of days ago. The main issue has been slowness, especially when adding comments or sending emails or just using forms in general.

You might check with the guys over at FF because I've noticed a LOT of cross-referencing between FF and FB in the complaints over there. Right now I'm using Opera and it seems fast.

just try this:
go properties TCP/IP -> fill DNS server with 208.67.208.208,then Alternate DNS server-> 208.67.222.222 -> Ok.

for mac:
Safari properties->advance->Proxies->change setting->DNS->add a DNS server address->fill 208.67.222.222->ok->ok

it's works for me,good luck
