With those 3 millions, how many acccounts were disabled without aparent reason? I never violated any of their code of conduct but I just couldnt understand why all of a sudden my account was disabled.

I wrote FB about it but to this day, I haven't receive any response from their team. Please help. I can't make another account. My friends are there and that's where I have met a lot of my long lost friends.

Probably, because a lot of those words are going to be used for company acronyms like NBC or BBC. It is likely that they did that to enforce a generalised rule to prevent squatting. It would be far easier than having a list of acronyms.

However, I am only speculating here, I could be wrong.

Why is this a big deal? Kee-rist, if facebook had some something normal like this in the first place, like every other social networking site, like pretty much every other site on the net, this wouldn't be an issue. Facebook is an abomination on the internet and I'll be delighted when something else takes its place as the next big thing.

Hold on a sec, you said:

An hour after release... 60 minutes in an hour, so it's 1,000,000/60 = most definitely not 278. More like 16,667 usernames a minute.

It was fun, didn't know a better place to share my excitement. I missed some of the chat especially when Ben was in it but still pretty cool. You actually called out my vanity URL which made my night lol. But yeh, cool chat and coverage of the whole thing.

With 200 million (or is it 300 million now?) users, I expected more impressive working quarters. And maybe a few more female employees (more than 1?). It's an interesting glimpse behind the scenes though & I'm surprised they gave you access, especially on such a stressful night.

Well, if this one event proves something, social media is proving to be a dominant force. Not only personally, but for businesses too. The key is, how to make the names more valuable. I got my name, and looking toward the future. I guess im feeling a little nutty, in a good way, that I got the name i wanted. Yea, facebook!
