He has to cut spending and the unions are not going to let him do it without a huge media slur. He has to determine popular concensus about what he should cut. A good way to do that is by using twitter to guage which ideas come in over and over. No matter what he does, he is going to take a hit. Getting crowd sourced ideas and other user feedback immediately is something government has rarely (never?) done before. It is cool that there is a website where people can discuss the ideas and that people can use Twitter to submit them.</p><p>I notice that the only way to submit ideas is through Twitter. There doesn't seem an easy way to submit them on the website where they are being discussed.
